~Memories~ Cole x Mage!Inquisitor!Reader

2ND PERSON P.O.V

You sipped your cup of tea, relaxing for the first time in forever. The soft, Orlesian silk of your recliner and the warm fire beside you made the calmness even better. You were remembering your life before becoming The Inquisitor. You were a circle mage in Ferelden, yes, that means you are an apostate. You also remembered a certain man that has been your friend since you first came to the Circle, He now fights beside you against Corypheous. He's tall, blonde and... odd. Cole. Cole helped you learn spells and other interesting things, he also helped you overcome a terrible sickness that everyone knew that you would die from. You also knew Rhys... he taught you some stuff, just like Cole did.... but Cole was always near you. When Cole made Rhys forget about his existence, he would never leave your side. He would watch over you day and night, he was also overprotective of you. In return you helped him help people and would always try to cheer him up. So many memories flooded your mind, making you smile. You closed your eyes, the crackle of the fire disappearing from your ears as you indulging in the memories you yearned to go back to. All of a sudden a loud poof noise sounded out, you reached for your staff and your eyes flew open. You sighed in relief when you noticed it was just Cole, who sat on the recliner opposite of you. You put the staff back down, "I heard you thinking about me, and sorry for startling you." Cole said as he adjusted his hat. "It's fine, Cole... and I could use some company I guess." You said, looking into his blue eyes and blushed lightly. Saying that you had a small crush on him would be an understatement. "You like being alone, though... I'll leave." The blonde said, standing up to leave. You motioned for him to sit and he did so, "Don't leave, I enjoy your company... after all you were my only friend in the Circle." You said and moved (H/C) locks out of your (E/C) eyes. "I know," he started, looking deep into you with thise knowing eyes, "But I know you see me as... sonething more than just a friend..." He finished, his facial expression never changing. Your face turned crimson, you knew you shouldn't have thought about him all the time! 'Now he is going to hate me...' you thought then opened your mouth to speak, but he spoke before a single syllable came out. "I don't hate you... I.... I think I feel the same way..." The spirit said with a smile barely noticeable. He never felt this good, even when he heped someone... it never felt this great, ever. A huge smile appeared onto your face. "I thought you wouldn't understand, but you really do!" You said leaning up out of your recliner. "You helped me understand things more, like a real person. Now we are... together?" Cole said, tilting his head slightly. He must have read your mind... again. He smiled big enough for you to notice and you chuckled. "Together forever." You both said in unison. The tricky part of this relationship would be explaining it to the ones who found out about it. "We could just make them forget, (Y/N)." Cole said and you just smiled and shook yout head gently. "No, let's make our relationship a memory." You said and he nodded, you both agreed on that.
