Calum's POV:

It was all so much to take in at once. I can't believe we were here, the place where we almost got killed. I felt a shiver down my spine, but this was the right thing to do. I needed to be here with Luke right now. We haven't been to the school since leaving, not even to pay our respects because we've been far too traumatised to deal with it. But now I'm ready. We can do this. We got out of the car and i took Luke's hand. We looked at each other one last time before walking ahead. We walked up to the locked school gates. "I think...I think we should be able to make it.." I looked up at the gate, we needed to climb it. There's no way we could get in any other way. I jumped and grabbed the top of the school gates and held my hand out for Luke, gently pulling up his weight. Once we got over, we walked towards the grass. "Soo...this is the courtyard. Where everyone used to play football. It used to be cut so neatly.." we stared at the messy overgrown grass. I really don't understand why they didn't do anything with the building, it was so nice. "Didn't you say you liked playing football before? You and frank used to play around here every now and then." Luke asked. Ah the memories. We did play a few times. I won mostly but he used to try so hard and make super enjoyable games. We should play together again some time. "I used to enjoy football but I used to sit by this tree here...and draw...not sure if I ever showed you but I did a drawing of you once." I smiled. I even bought the book with me, I found it under the bed at my mums parents before I moved out.

I sat with Luke under the tree and I flipped out my book. "You did? That's so sweet.." he bit his lip and smiled. "Yeah... I wasn't very good though. I used to draw so much just sat here." I showed him the drawing I did when I was eighteen years old, gosh he looks so different now. He had taken out his silver lip ring and his quiff has grown into long beautiful locks. Luke flipped through the book at my drawings after admiring the one I did of him. "Cal don't be silly...these are really good, you've got talent" "well..used to. Don't think I've done anymore art since then" I put my book away after he spent a few minutes viewing all the older stuff I used to draw. "You should get back into it, you are talented Cal.." he gently squeezed my hand. I let out a sigh "I haven't got time for hobbies anymore, my job is more important. I'm...im not a teenager anymore.." I couldn't help but feel low, sometimes I miss being a kid. "There's always time for things you enjoy but...I get what you mean." "Shall we continue with the tour?" I stood up and held my hand out to pull him up. Almost like helping a character up in a video game you could say. "Yeah definitely" he took my hand and stood up, we then continued to walk whilst still holding hand in hand. Now for the tricky part. We needed to find a way in. We didn't want to make any more noise than we had to, and I certainly didn't want to break in and enter. "We just need to figure out how we can get in.." "I think there was that side door not far from the principles office, we can sneak in there? It was never locked" I feel he was referring to the fire exit where we snuck in last time. "Hmm true...I mean we did manage to sneak in there and get the blueprints. There's only two places I don't want to go.." I had to be honest with him. "Yeah? Where's that?" He asked as I squeezed my eyes shut, slightly hesitating to think about it. "The main hall where we got counted, and the actual principles office where I got shot. I don't- I don't think I can handle that" I stuttered as I was brutally honest. I scratched the back of my neck. We had already reminisced by the courtyard I definitely wanted to see the old dorm room where we met. "Of course.." Luke smiles and gently squeezed my hand again. "Let's just go to the areas where we had the best memories yeah?"

We then went to the side door, and crawled in, considering it got jammed. We were attempting to avoid all the places we didn't want to go. Not like I could fully remember my way around as it is. "I think the boys dorms were up the stairs and east of the building?" I suggested, almost felt like we needed a fucking map or something. This school wasn't like others, there wasn't separate buildings or blocks for the dorms. It was just the girls on the west and boys on the east. "Right... room 182?" I asked him. I always remembered it because we used to like the band Blink-182. Still can't believe I got a tattoo. "Yeah, yeah I think so." We walked up and down the corridors of the boys old dormitory and finally found the door we were looking for. "It's this one.." Luke pointed towards the door. I tried the handle and it opened. Nobody bothered looking the doors after it was shut down. I suppose nobody bothered locking the doors even when we were staying there, considering how often Chuck would burst in. We slowly walked into the cold room, hand in hand and straight away we smelled the dampness of the room that hadn't been in use for a long time. This was crazy. It almost looked exactly the same way as we left it, apart from the bed sheets that have been taken off and our belongings were no longer there. It looked kind of unsanitary since it hadn't bad anyone stay in there for over 3 years, so we tried to just avoid touching anything. But apart of admiring the changes of the room, we just squeezed each others hands and admired everything that looked the same.
