Karmanami: A-Z One shots

H - Haru Akabane.

Karma's cousin from Tokyo was visiting Karma for a few days. Akabane Haru had the family red hair and was a few years older than Karma. He looked similar to Karma, he was just hotter or so he claimed.

It was sunday and Karma was reading his books when Haru comes to annoy Karma.

"Ne Karma do you have any girlfriend?"

"No." Karma answers nonchalantly.

"What about that girl you mentioned to me once?" He asks again.

Karma blushes, the girl Haru was saying was Manami and Karma has talked about Manami to Haru once before.

"No... She-she's just my friend."

"Pfft too bad for you. I have one and she's hot as well. You should really meet her. " He smirks proudly.

"Ugh... I'm not interested in knowing about your girlfriend." Karma rolls his eyes.

"You know girls drool over my hotness. I'm just that hot and good looking." He smirks proudly.

Karma ignores his annoying cousin.

Someone knocks on the door and Haru immediately gets up to open it. He opens the door and finds Manami waiting on the other side of the door. Manami looks up and her eyes went wide open when she sees Haru. He looked like Karma but also he didn't look like Karma.

"Umm... Karma kun?"

"Oh Karma's out there." He invites her inside.

"Oi Karma your friend is here." He calls out Karma.

Karma looks up and sees Manami. He was stunned and rushes up to Manami and pulls her to his room. Haru was amused by Karma's action and he knew that something was up between the two of them. Back at Karma's room he locks the door.

"I'm sorry..... That was my cousin, Haru."

"Heh. I should greet him properly then."

"No.!" Protested Karma and his tone was serious, it caught Manami off guard.

"Huh? But why? He's your cousin. It'll be rude to not greet him."

"I don't trust him around you." Answers an embarrassed Karma.

"Are you serious?" Manami laughs off at Karma. She had seen him being insecure when it comes to her but this time it was funny.

"You don't need to worry about all these things. You trust me right?" She holds Karma's hands.

Karma sighs, he still didn't want Manami to meet Haru but he couldn't just hold her inside as well.

"Okay. Let's meet him then."

Karma takes Manami outside where Haru was waiting for them.

"Oh I thought you'd be in there longer." He chuckles.

"I had a little work with Karma kun actually. Anyways I'm Okuda Manami." Manami greets Haru and extends her hand to shake Haru's hand.

Haru takes Manami's hand and holds it like a gentleman.

"Manami? That's a beautiful name. I'm Haru, Akabane Haru. It's really nice to meet you."

Haru had that seductive look, that look which made Karma worried again. The hand holding went on for too long and Karma clears his throat and invites Manami and Haru to the Hall.

"So are you Karma's girlfriend?" Asks Haru.

"What! No. Karma kun and I are just good friends." Answers a blushing Manami which Haru notices.

Karma's phone rings, it was his mother.

"Yes mom?"

"Karma dear. There's our package that's reaching today but the company is in a shutdown. Can you please pick up the package for me. Thank you so much dear." Karma's mother cuts the call without even listening to what Karma had to say. Seems like she was in a hurry as usual.

"I'm going to take some package from the delivery company, Okuda san let's go."

Before Manami could get up, Haru stood up and stopped both of them.

"Oh come on Karma, why are you making your friend go through so much trouble. She can remain here and you can go by yourself and take the package right."

"But Okuda san-"

"I'll be fine Karma kun." Assures Manami.

A hesitant Karma leaves Manami alone with Haru in the apartment. As soon as Karma leaves Haru walks and sits next to Manami.

"So, if I didn't hear it wrong you guys aren't dating?" Asks Haru and Manami nods.

"No, we're not dating."

"Does that mean I can make a move on you?" Haru raises his eyebrow.

Manami stares at Haru silently and then gives Haru a warm smile.

"I'm sorry Haru kun but there's no one besides Karma kun for me." She answers.

"Wait, but you said you aren't dating. Then?" Asks a confused Haru.

"We aren't and I don't know how to describe our relationship either. The feeling I have for Karma kun is special and I cannot have that for anyone else."

"Well, I'm physically more attractive you know? You'd look good if you'd date me."

"It's not about looks. Karma kun is different. He makes me feel special. He's special." She answers while clearly blushing and smiling to herself.

Haru sighs, defeated but not disappointed. He was surprised by Manami's answer. He had hope that his charming skills and his hot physique would win the nerd girl over but he was wrong.

"Damn, I thought I'd easily win over you. Guess I was wrong. My brother's lucky you know that he has someone like you."

"I'm actually the lucky one here." She giggles.

"You two are one crazy couple. Actually I don't even know if I can call you two a couple. Anyways leave that aside and tell me more about you and Karma, I want to torture Karma." He smirks wickedly but in a manner that Manami knew wasn't evil but just pure fun.

Manami opens up more about Karma to Haru who seemed to be enjoying it. Karma returns after around an hour. He opens the door and was panting heavily. He head straight for the Hall where he sees Manami and Haru happily chatting with each other. He exhales in relief. Haru and Manami notice Karma.

"Oh Karma, you're back already? That was fast."

Karma walks up to the two of them. He joins them in on the conversation. Before any of them knew it was ready 3 pm.

"I'll be leaving now, take care Karma kun. Haru kun." Manami bows down and leaves the two of them.

"Damn. It's the first time in my life that my hot looks betrayed me and I'm not even feeling bad about it." Sighs Haru.

Karma had a grasp of what Haru meant.

"That girl of yours whom you really love but aren't in a relationship with is a really nice person you know. She's the one you told me about at that time right?"

Karma was surprised, how did his cousin know about that. Haru gives him a wicked look.

"Oh but I didn't expect a proposal under a Christmas tree from you." He chuckles as Karma felt embarrassed.

"Do Uncle and Auntie know this?"

Karma doesn't answer which made Haru sure that Karma's parents aren't yet aware of Karma and Manami and this was what Haru was looking for. He had already thought of all the evil things and torture he'd be doing on his brother. He smiles wickedly as Karma silently looks on at his cousin.
