Karmanami: A-Z One shots

N - Nightwalkers

Manami stares at the beautiful moon from her room. The summer night was hot but it was peaceful and calm.

"Aah... The moon looks so beautiful. If only we had fireflies around." She sighs peacefully.

"Woah that would indeed be a beautiful thing." Says Karma.

A surprised Manami searches for Karma when she notices him sitting I  the roof outside her window.

"Karma kun, what are you doing here?"

"Me? I was just nightwalking around by myself then I thought I'd take you with me." He smirks.

"Heh? I-I'm not going with you. My-my parents are down there. What if they see me." Protested Manami.

"So you do want to go but you're just scared?" Karma raises an eyebrows.

"N-No. That's not what I meant." Protested Manami as she blushes.

"Hmmm... Okay." Pouts Karma.

Manami felt bad for Karma but she could not risk her parents seeing their daughter out at night with some guy.

Karma suddenly starts coughing. He was coughing badly and a concerned Manami steps out of her room and rushes upto where Karma was sitting.

"Karma kun are you-"

Karma gets hold of Manami's hands and he stops his coughing. He smiles wickedly, seems like it was all a trick.

"K-Karma kun did you just trick me?"

Karma takes Manami in his arms.

"H-h-heh Karma kun what are you doing?"

Manami was blushing heavily.

"Hold on to me Okuda san. We're going for a walk." He smirks.

He starts jumping from one obstacle to another and it's all thanks to the assassination training he's been taking. Manami wraps her arms tightly around Karma and lays her head on his chest. She had closed her eyes and Karma notices that she was trembling a little, maybe she was still a little scared about going out at night.

He stops in front of an empty field of semi tall grasses from where the moon's view was much more beautiful. He drops Manami on her feet.

"Karma kun why are we here?"

"Okay, now I want you to close your eyes. I have a surprise for you."

Manami closes her eyes. Karma waves to Koro sensei who waves back to him signalling that everything is ready. Koro sensei lights up the small bulbs that looked like fireflies.

"Open you eyes now."

Manami opens her eyes and was Instantly mesmerized by the beautiful scene in front of her.

"We couldn't arrange for real fireflies." Says Karma.

"So Karma kun decided to arrange these bulbs instead." Adds Koro sensei.

"It's so beautiful." Says Manami with tears in her eyes.

Manami walks through the glowing field and Karma slowly follows from behind. A happy and excited Koro sensei watches the two of them.

"I'll be leaving you two alone but make sure you don't stay out here for too long. I'll come back in half an hour." Says Koro sensei.

"Please give us an hour sensei." Pleads Karma.

"Okay okay. One hour and that's it."

Koro sensei flies away leaving the two of them alone.

Manami sits on the ground and Karma sits next to her. She lays her head on his chest.

They didn't speak a word, the silent night with the moon overlooking them was peaceful and beautiful. Manami wraps her hands around Karma. He stays still so as to not disturb her.

He turns to Manami when he notices that she had already fallen asleep. He found her sleeping face too cute and adorable so much so that he blushes a little. He wanted to kiss her but they weren't a couple yet. He places a kiss on her forehead instead and wraps his arms around her.

Before he would even realise 1 hour had already passed. Koro sensei had indeed come to check on them.

"Do you need my help taking Okuda san back?" Asks Koro sensei.

He knew Karma would say no, he just wanted to have some fun.

"Ugh oh come on sensei, I cannot let Okuda san wake up. I'm going to take her myself." He smirks.

Koro sensei smiles and Karma takes Manami in his arms and walks away. He ran through the obstacles a little gently this time, making sure Manami is not disturbed. He steps inside her room and gently places her in her bed. He covers her with blanket when a sleeping Manami gets hold of his hand and wraps her arms around it.

Karma slowly and carefully takes out his hand, he places another kiss on her forehead.

"Goodnight Okuda san." He wishes her and steps out of the room.

And so the two of them would nightwalk at least once a week to some beautiful exotic places till Manami went to Tokyo for her higher studies.
