Karmanami: A-Z One shots

P- Pregnant.

(This one shot is somewhat inspired from koizora movie).

Manami walks around her bedroom. She looked worried, she checks the date and her face turns even more worried. She dials Karma's number.

"Karma kun, can we meet tomorrow?"

"You sound upset Manami, is there something wrong?"

"I'll tell you tomorrow, just promise me you'll come." Manami sounded desperate.

"Okay----Okay I will."

The next day, Manami waits for Karma in a secluded and empty bench, she was becoming impatient. She sees Karma walking towards her calmly.

"Why are you so late? I've been waiting for half an hour." Scolded Manami.

"You called me at 9 and it's 8:58 now, so I guess you're too early."

Manami checks her phone and realizes her mistake. She sighs disappointingly. Karma holds her hands and calms her down.

"It's fine but tell me now, what happened?"

"Actually the thing is ---------- I'm pregnant Karma kun." She says the sentence as fast as she could.

Karma was shocked, he gasps.

"Are you sure?" He asks.

"Yes, It has been more than a month since last got intimate and I haven't got my periods, so I did a test on my own and--------"

"And?"

"It was positive."

Karma stood frozen in the same place, he processes things, the words coming out of Manami's mouth. Manami's head was down and her tears were slowly about to pour when she feels Karma warmly hugging her.

"Congratulations to both of us I guess." Sweetly whispers Karma.

"Aren't you upset?" Asks a surprised Manami.

"Of course not, I'm very very happy. Aren't you?"

Manami smiles, she felt a relief.

"I'm happy, I was just worried about how you'd react. We're still college students after all and that too in our final semester."

"Don't worry about anything, Manami. I'm going to take care of you and not let anything happen to you or our baby." He smiles and his smile was enough to comfort Manami but suddenly her smile again turns to worry.

"How are we going to tell our parents about this?" Exclaims Manami.

"Hmmm----------- now that may be a problem but I'm sure we'll take care of things." Assures Karma.

First it was at Karma's house and surprisingly it wasn't hard to convince his parents to keep the baby. Karma's mother takes Manami to a different room while Karma's father has a serious talk with Karma.

"I'm really thankful to you both, thank you for understanding and accepting our decision, Mrs. Akabane." Manami had genuine happiness written over her face.

"Oh please don't be so formal Manami chan. To let you in on a secret, I had Karma when I was just 16." She chuckles.

"Really? How did your parents react then?"

"His parents were okay but it was a little hard to convince my family especially my dad. He was upset with me but when he saw how serious we both were he gave us a chance and we worked hard on fulfilling it."

Manami was a little happy hearing her story. She felt a little relief.

Next was Manami's house, a strict household, especially Manami's father and Karma no matter how much of a Daredevil he was, he was a little scares this time. He was in his formal suit, he didn't want to disappoint his girlfriend's father.

Manami's father sits across the tatami, silently observing the two. Karma was sitting in a very formal position, something he hadn't done in a long time.

"Isn't it too early for you to to be parents? How will you support your child?" He questions the two.

"I'll work hard sir and make sure Manami and our child get everything they need." Says a confident Karma.

"Will my daughter be happy with you?"

"I'll be happy with him Oto san-"

"I'm asking him." He interrupts.

"I really love your daughter sir and I'll never let her get in any harm. I'll always make her happy."

Manami turns to look at her dad who still had a stiff and serious look on his face.

"She still hasn't finished college, are you guys going to drop from college?. How will you guys handle things?"

"We'll complete our studies and I'll do everything it takes to make sure she is able to complete her college. I'll do everything to make sure she doesn't face any problem while in college or at home." Answers Karma.

Manami's father smiles, he seemed confident enough in Karma.

"Looks like you're a really nice guy and you'll keep my daughter happy."

Manami takes a sigh of relief, she turns to Karma and it looks like a heavy burden had just been lifted from his shoulder.

As promised Karma made sure Manami's pregnancy period was as smooth as possible, as she reached her second trimester Manami moved in to Karma's house as it was nearer to the college.

The pregnancy was as expected like other pregnancies. Karma bears all of Manami's mood swings and her morning sickness, he made sure Manami got everything she craved for, Manami was spoiled for the next few months.

It was the day, Manami went into labour and Karma holds her hand and stood by her side while she was giving birth. Karma keeps on encouraging Manami with his words and Manami's pushes and pushes till the baby finally comes out.

The doctor comes in with the baby wrapped in a blanket and hands it to Karma.

"It's a girl." Announces the doctor.

Karma takes the baby to Manami who was still a little tired from all that hard work.

"She's beautiful." He whispers as he hands the daughter to Manami.

Manami looks upto Karma and sees his eyes wet and tearing a little bit, seeing him she lets her tears out.

"We're a family now." She says while crying.

Karma's tears fall from his eyes but he wipes it away and gives the brightest smile ever. He kisses his daughter and kisses Manami's forehead.
