When did Karma fall in love with Manami?

Well it's a very beautiful story.

Karma and Manami's friendship had slowly started building up. She was helping make potions for his pranks but she was almost out of the needed ingredients and she decided to buy all the ingredients on a free day and on hearing this Karma decided to accompany her.

It was the day and Karma waits for Manami, he hears her calling out to him. He turns around and sees Manami in a light blue top and a pink skirt, she haid her haid in a single braid. Karma blushes instantly.

"Kawaii." He says to himself.

"Sorry for making you wait, Karma kun." Apologizes Manami.

"Oh no no. I just arrived here a few minutes ago." Answers Karma.

Manami notices that Karma's face was red and concerned she walks close to him and inspects him.

"Karma kun are you feeling sick or anything? Your face is all red."

"H-H-H-Heh? I-I it's actually... It's just very hot you know." He chuckles nervously.

"Oh I see." Manami seems to have believed Karma, it was a hot day after all.

The two walk their way to the store and the whole time they were walking Karma couldn't help but steal glances of Manami. He found her too cute that day. He's always seen her in uniform so seeing her in her home outfit was different, beautifully different. In no time they reached the store and buy all the things they needed for their next prank.

Karma and Manami walk back, they were on their way when the sky gets dark and rain starts pouring. Seeing the sky pouring Karma takes Manami by her hand and rushes to a bus stop. In just a few minutes the rain pours down and heavily floods the street.

Karma sees Manami smiling.

"Hmm... Why are you smiling Okuda san?" Asks Karma.

"I love when it rains."

"You do? Really?" Karma gives her a weird questioning look.

"Yeah, except when it's lightning. I'm really scared of it." She laughs off by herself.

The two wait for the rain to stop when a truck passes by and honks loudly. A scared Manami screams clings on to Karma tightly. She realizes that it was just a truck and releases herself.

"Phew it felt like lighting for a moment." She breaths a sigh of relief.

She turns to Karma when she sees that Karma was frozen. His face was as red as an apple. She shakes him.

"You okay Karma kun?"

Karma couldn't speak, he could feel his heart beat, it was fast and he's never felt like that before. He could feel his face heating up even though the weather was cold.

A concerned Manami stands up and in front of Karma. She places her hand on his forehead and then his cheeks, it was hot.

"Karma kun you're body is feeling very hot right now."

Karma freezes more, Manami's hands were soft, soft like baby's hands, he spontaneously holds her hand that was holding his cheeks. It was unintentional but Manami blushes a little. A nervous Karma releases his hands and turns his face away to hide his blushing face.

The situation got a bit awkward after this. They couldn't utter a word and spent the next half an hour waiting for the rain to stop.

Back at his home after having dropped off Manami, Karma gets into the shower and freshens himself. He steps out of the shower and sees Haru playing games. He wasn't really fond of Haru but at this moment, Haru would probably be the only one who could help him. He walks up to Haru.

"Say Haru, I needed to ask something from you."

"Oh, my little brother finally needing my help." Taunts Haru.

"Tch... Just help me out please."

"Okay! Okay. Now tell me what happened."

"I don't know what happened with me today. I went out with a classmate of mine to buy some stuffs-"

"Was it a girl?" Haru cuts in between. He had a very curious look on his face.

"Y-Yes."

Haru squeals in excitement.

"Tell me more."

Karma narrates the whole incident to Haru who seemed happy and content and too excited for things.

"Since when did you start to feel differently about the girl?" Asks a curious Haru.

"It's been a while I guess. I love spending time with her and I guess I spend most of my daily time with her only, it's just she's never hugged me suddenly before today or she's never held me before today so, I was just thinking.. You know." Answers Karma while he blushes a little.

"Wow, you have such a deep thinking. Didn't expect to hear something like this from you." Teases Haru

"Now tell me, does that mean something?" Asks Karma.

"Well what do you think?" Asks Haru back.

"Maybe I - maybe I'm in-"

"Yes you're in love with her, you idiot." He chuckles.

Karma did not say a word but it was clear that he didn't need anymore explanation. He had also felt that he may like Manami more than just a friend, he just wanted to confirm it and now that his cousin ensured it, he seemed happy about it.

"Anyways, you're just 13 so you can't be in a relationship yet." Warns Haru.

"Pfft.. You broke up with your first girlfriend while you were just 14." Taunts Karma.

"I was 14 and you just turned 13 a few weeks ago. So no dating."

"Ugh.... Whatever..... " Karma rolls his eyes and walks away to his room.

He lays down on his bed and the events of the day start flashing up. He could still feel that sudden hug Manami gave him. He could feel her soft touch.

And as we all know Karma hides his feelings for Manami until that Christmas day under the Christmas tree.
