I say, "I promise. Who would I tell?? You're my only friend." He nods. Then we turn around behind a building. There's a door. Yoongi stops and pulls out his key. The door is already unlocked and we go inside. Then we go down some stairs. He looks at me and then opens a door in front of us. And what I see is completely unexpected. What I would not have expected from such a place.

In front of me, there's a small and cute recording studio. I say, "Oh. I wasn't expecting this. Whatever, not this." Yoongi asks, "Is this better than what you were expecting??" I smile and say, "Absolutely." He says, "Okay then. Anyway, my name here is Gloss."
There's a guy sitting at the computer, a couple of years older than Yoongi. He's got headphones on and he's editing something. Yoongi taps him on the shoulder. He takes off his headphones and turns to us. He says, "Yoongi. It's so good to see you. You should see how the ending turned out."
Yoongi nods and says, "Nakyeon hyung, this is Min Jee." We shake hands and say hello. Nakyeon says, "You know. Yoongi never stops talking about you. That's all I ever hear. And you're the first person Yoongi's brought here."
Yoongi taps him on the shoulder and says, "He's joking, I promise. You can sit down, I'll quickly check what he did." I nod and sit down on the couch and pretend to be on my phone, even though I'm actually watching what Yoongi is doing there.
Yoongi asks, "Where's Janghyun hyung??" Nakyeon replies, "He went to buy food. But I'll tell him to buy more." Yoongi nods. Then Yoongi kicks Nakyeon out of the chair and sits down himself. He puts on his headphones and gets lost in the music playing on them.
Nakyeon meanwhile sits down next to me on the couch and looks at me. Then he asks, "Are you guys together??" I look at him and say, "With Yoongi?? No, of course. He's more like a brother to me." Nakyeon says, "Well, that's too bad. Yoongi is a really great person. I think you two would go well together."
I smile and shrug. Nakyeon smiles and then turns to Yoongi. Yoongi is silent for a moment, listening to the music, but then at one point he takes off his headphones and turns to us. He says, "Well, it's not bad, but I wanted to talk about that part in the middle. About where Janghyun hyung's part is."
Nakyeon stands up and turns to him. They both go into detail, but in the meantime I look at the sheet music that's on the table. I look at it and smile. After a moment, another guy comes in, who must be Janghyun because he has food in his hands. We get to know him and then he gives everyone food.
We eat and then they finish working on their song. Then the guys whisper something and Yoongi looks at me. He asks, "Min Jee. Do you want to hear this song??" I smile and ask, "Can I??" He nods. I stand up and Yoongi makes room for me and hands me the headphones.I ask, "What's the name of this song??" Yoongi replies, "518-062." I nod, put on the headphones, and Yoongi turns on the song.
I listen and take my headphones off. Yoongi asks, "So?? How did you like it??" I say, "It's amazing." He smiles and says, "Nakyeon hyung wrote the lyrics, I composed the music and I'm the producer, but it's mostly Janghyun hyung's voice on there. Sometimes Nakyeon hyung and I are there too, but you can't really hear it."
I smile and say, "It's an amazing song." The guys smile. Yoongi says, "Okay. Then we're probably done with this for today. We can probably go then." The guys nod, we grab our stuff and leave.We go outside and I ask Yoongi, "How long have you been doing this kind of thing?? I mean, making music." Yoongi says, "Well, I've been composing since I was 13, but I haven't been in this group for very long."
I smile and say, "That surprises me. I don't know why." Yoongi nods. Then he looks at me and says, "So, how are you going to celebrate your 18th?? It's in a month." I say, "First of all, exactly. It's in a whole month. Second of all, nothing. I don't have any friends to celebrate with. And I don't have any family, so I'm not going to celebrate." Yoongi replies, "What about me?? I'm your friend. And the guys from the studio can be your friends to some extent."
I smile and shrug. I say, "Well. Whatever, I still have time to think about it." Yoongi nods. Then he says, "Let's go to a cafe, get something to eat." I agree.
Later
We're sitting in a cafe eating when Yoongi gets a call. He sees the caller, apologizes to me, and goes to pick up the phone. After a moment, he comes back with a surprised look on his face. He sits down, quickly calls Nakyeon, and says one sentence: "I got in." Then he hangs up. Nakyeon tells Yoongi to send him the address of this cafe.
Yoongi texts him and then turns to me. He hugs me and then says, "Nakyeon hyung and Janghyun hyung will be here right away. But uhh...remember, I said a few days ago that I was going to this place that I refused to tell you??" I nod.
He says, "Well. Let's say I went to an audition for a company where I wanted to be a music producer. They just called me back and offered me a trainee position. As in, I could be a famous artist in the future, trainee." I scream and say, "Seriously, oppa?? That's great."
He nods. We both stand up and I hug him. He lifts me up in the air and spins me around. He puts me down and then I look at him. He looks into my eyes and we both freeze. We're silent and look at each other. And I think Yoongi slowly starts to lean closer to me.
But then the door suddenly opens and Nakyeon and Janghyun come in. They're talking to each other, so they don't notice us at first. We both quickly sit down in our seats and start talking about something.
Then they find us with their eyes and come over to us. We chat for a bit and then Nakyeon orders champagne and cake for everyone. We get them and then he says: "Let's raise a glass to Min Yoongi, the new BigHit trainee. Yoongi, I wish you luck, strength and patience. You'll need them. But you're talented, so you have a great future ahead of you, I know that for sure."
Yoongi raises his glass and smiles: "I'm so happy that I have you to take care of me. Who supports me and is happy for me at this time. Even though my family doesn't support me wanting to pursue a career as a musician and wants me to just play the piano, I have you. And right now, that's more than I need. Or more than I expected and deserved."
He smiles and hugs me, then looks at the guys and smiles at them. We finish celebrating and then Yoongi walks me home. He comes up to my apartment and then I say, "It's getting late. Stay here. You stay here every second or third night anyway." Yoongi agrees and takes his clothes from my closet.
Next morning
Kad Yoongi pamostas, es viņam pasniedzu viņa rīta kafiju un brokastis. Viņš pasmaida un pateicas. He smiles at me and thanks me. Then we leave my apartment. Yoongi walks me to my part time job and then goes to his new company BigHit Entertainment to meet other trainees.
After my shift ends, I go out and Yoongi meets me outside witha big hug. I start asking many questions about today and he tells me to calm down and tells me how everything went.
