Bosung turns to Dohyun and says, "Well, well, Dohyun hyung. Who treats girls like that?? Is there any shame in that??" Then he turns to me, picks me up and throws me over his shoulder, then starts spinning around in a circle. I start screaming and punching Bosung on the shoulder. The girls just stand aside and laugh at me.

After a few days, during my birthday
I wake up to a surprize in my room. There's balloons and decorations everywhere.
I smile and get out of bed, get ready for school and then eat breakfast. I leave the apartment and there is a car in front of the apartment building with Dohyun, Bosung and Jinah sitting in it. Dohyun, who is sitting at the wheel, smiles and says, "Good morning. Get in, let's take you to school." I agree.
I get in the car and then Jinah gives me half a hug and everyone wishes me a happy birthday. Jinah says, "You'll get presents tonight." I laugh and nod. And then we drive. I keep checking my phone every now and then, waiting for a message from Yoongi.
I keep thinking to myself, "Did Yoongi really forget about my birthday??" I try to hide the fact that it makes me a little sad. But then I keep thinking to myself, "Min Jee. He's working on his dream. Be happy for him and support him better." I sigh and smile.
After school
Today I have taken a day off of work. I go home and once again smile at the decorations set up in my room. I wonder, who did that. Probably it was Jinah. Anyways, I put on an outfit which Jinah lent me a few days ago, specifically for today. I look at myself and like how I look. Then Jinah comes to pick me up and takes me some place that she refuses to reveal before time.
When we get there, there's a whole room filled with balloons and decorations as well as gifts. And the room is filled with my friends from school. I turn to Jinah and ask:"Did you set this whole thing up?" She shakes her head and says:Ņope. One of your other close friends did. Just asked my help for the guest list."
I ask:"Some other close friend?"I try to think who she is talking about but then I jump a bit because someone hugs me from behind. I smile and say:"Dohyun oppa, you cannot scare me like that." But when I turn around, it's not Dohyun. It's Yoongi.
When I finally realise it's Yoongi, I jump into his arms excitedly and hug him tightly.
I realize it's Yoongi oppa, so I immediately hug him tightly. Yoongi hugs me tightly too. I ask, "Did you set this up??" Yoongi nods. I say, "I thought you forgot about me, let alone my birthday." Jinah looks at me and then leaves us.
There are 3 guys standing behind Yoongi. He says, "I remember you said you wanted to meet the other trainees from BigHit, soo....they're here." I blush and say, "Oppa. You never cease to amaze me. And I don't even know if that's a good thing or a bad thing."
He smiles and says, "Min Jee. Meet my friends. This is Namjoon. This is Hoseok and this is Jihoon. Guys. This is Kim Min Jee, today's birthday girl." We greet each other and Namjoon says, "Nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you." I say, "I hope only the best??" Namjoon smiles and I notice that he has adorable dimples. He says, "Of course, how else??"
The other guys greet me too and then Namjoon says, "Okay. We'll leave you two alone. Congratulations again." I smile and thank you. As they walk away, I hear Hoseok say, "Damn. Yoongi hyung's friend is HOOOOT." I blush and hide my head in my hands.
Yoongi hugs me again and says, "You're impossible to forget. And you look amazing, by the way." I smile and thank you again. Then I ask, "How did you do all this??" Yoongi says, "Like the things you had in your bedroom. Easy."
I ask, "Was that you??" Yoongi nods. I say, "Oppa. You're full of surprises." He says, "Always for you. That's what best friends are for." We spend most of the rest of the evening together.
Later
Yoongi and his friends and I go for a walk in the fresh air. Namjoon talks to Hoseok and Jihoon, Yoongi talks to me. I smile and say, "They seem nice." Yoongi nods. Then he says, "Yea. They are. I wouldn't say we're friends, but we're something along those lines." I nod. Then Yoongi says, "Janghyun hyung and Nakyeon hyung will come to congratulate you later too." I nod. Then I say, "I missed you so much, oppa." He says, "I missed you too."
Then Dohyun oppa comes out ahead, a few meters ahead. He offers me his hand, I take it and he turns me around. Then he quickly pulls me close and unexpectedly kisses me.
I feel Yoongi and his friends watching us. I pull away and ask, "Oppa. What are you doing??" He asks, "Am I not allowed?? I like you, Min Jee." I lower my head and say, "I don't even know what to say to that." Dohyun says, "Answer me the same. Don't you like me??" I say, "Oppa. Let's talk about it when we're alone." I step away from him and then, quickly running past Yoongi, say, "I'm sorry, but I have to go." Yoongi turns to me and asks, "Are you okay??"
I don't answer, but when I look back, I see Yoongi glare at Dohyun at first, but then, prompted by his friends, comes after me. I go back inside and Yoongi, catching me, grabs my hand and stops me, then asks: "Min Jee, are you okay?? Who is this guy??"
I say: "My friend Jinah's half-brother Im Dohyun." He asks: "Do you want to talk to me about what just happened there??" I ask: "What exactly??" He says: "You know what I'm talking about." I say: "It was a surprise for me too, not just you. We're not together, if that's what you might have thought."
Yoongi asks: "But do you like him??" I say: "I don't know. Back when I was studying with Jinah, yes, I did. Now I don't know anymore." Yoongi says: "Then tell the guy that too. So he doesn't get it." I say: "Not now. A little later." Yoongi nods.
Then I go and try to enjoy the rest of the party without thinking about it. When the party ends, all the guests leave and I'm left with Jinah, Dohyun, Yoongi, and his friends. We load all the presents into Dohyun's car and he takes them to my apartment, taking Jinah home and leaving himself.
Then it's just me, Yoongi, and his friends. I look at the now-cleaned room and tell Yoongi and his friends to help me. Namjoon looks at Yoongi and nods. And somehow, in a flash, I realize that there are only the two of us left.
I say, "Okay. I guess I'll start going home. It's getting late." Yoongi says, "I'll walk you." I ask, "Don't you have to go to the dorms??" Yoongi asks, "Don't you want me to accompany you?? I can also not accompany you, but I took the night off tonight so I could finally see you."I say, "No, no. I want to. And maybe you can stay the night tonight?? If you're free." Yoongi says, "I can." And then he smiles.
When we get to my apartment, Yoongi says, "I want to give you my gift finally." He pulls a small box out of his pocket and a pendant from the box. It's a beautiful butterfly pendant made from blue glass.
I smile and say, "It's beautiful." Yoongi asks, "Can I.....??" I turn my back on him and lift my hair up. He puts the pendant on and I automatically touch the pendant. Yoongi smiles shyly and says, "I'm glad you like it." I say, "Of course you do. It's from you." And then I hug Yoongi tightly and he immediately hugs me back.
The next day
In the meantime, Dohyeon sneaks up on me from behind and scares me. Then he hugs me. And then he pulls me aside and asks, "Do you like me, Min Jee??" I look at him and say, "I don't know.... Well, I guess so." He asks, "What do you mean, guess?" I say, "I'm not sure."
He says, "If you like someone else, at least give me a chance and I'll make you forget about other guys. You'll like me." I ask, "Why are you so insistent??" He says, "Because I like you. At least give me a chance. And if nothing changes, I'll leave you alone. Agreed??" I nod and say, "Okay." He smiles and hugs me.
