After my shift ends, I go out and Yoongi meets me outside witha big hug. I start asking many questions about today and he tells me to calm down and tells me how everything went.

We go to my apartment, Yoongi puts down his stuff and starts talking. He talks about the producers, the trainers, and other people. Then I ask, "Were there other trainees??" He says, "Well, there was this guy named Namjoon. There was also Jihoon. And another one named Hoseok. (Sorry, I know he joined later than Yoongi, but not in this story.)
I ask, "And were they nice??" Yoongi shrugs and says, "I don't know. I guess. I didn't really talk to them. But that Hoseok was really tanned. Like, I don't know if I've ever seen a more tanned person in my life."
I laugh and say, "Sure." I make Yoongi food and we continue talking. Then Yoongi helps me with my homework that's due after the fall break.
Three weeks later
Today is the end of the break and I have to go back to school. You might be wondering why such a long break. Well, that's just the way it is. Since the day Yoongi picked me up after work, we haven't seen each other again because he's been busy with training. It's not that I'm not happy for him. Of course I am. I just miss him.
My birthday is in a week. Ugh. I don't want to go through this. Can I just skip this day? I wish I could, but I guess I can't. And besides, Yoongi is so busy right now that he must have forgotten about me and my birthday. So I'm not celebrating.
Later
I'm at work after school. I work at a grocery store. Anyway, I'm doing my job and then suddenly the doorbell rings and my head turns in that direction. 4 girls with face masks come in. They're talking to each other and while they're not buying anything, I'm on Instagram.
Soon they come to the cash register with their items. They put everything down and I start scanning. They pay and then one of them looks at me and asks, "Kim Min Jee??" I look up and ask, "Park Jinah??" She smiles and says, "Min Jee eonni, you haven't changed much."
I smile and say, "Neither have you." I look at all four girls. We all went to kindergarten and school together for many years. Until the end of 10th grade. We were actually very close friends. They were my only friends, in fact. Until I met Yoongi.
They hug me and we start talking. But soon other customers come in, so we agree to meet when my shift ends, which is in a couple of hours.
After my shift
I wait until my colleague comes and replaces me. Then I quickly go to get my things and leave work, where the girls are already waiting for me. We hug and then one of the girls and I hold hands, like we used to do before. We start laughing and we go to our usual hangout - Park Jinah's house. I'm so caught up with my friends that I don't even notice Yoongi standing aside.
Yoongi POV
I left practice early so I could go meet Min Jee. I really miss her. We haven't seen each other in weeks. I leave just as she finishes work and I'm standing there waiting for her. There are a couple of other girls standing outside the store.
They're pretty, but not as pretty as Min Jee. I look at my watch and smile when I hear her come out. I raise my hand to wave and I'm about to walk closer to her, but then I see her walking over to those girls, hugging them, and leaving with them.
Huh?? I thought I was her only friend. I want to text her, but then my phone dies. I sigh and walk back to the BigHit dormitory that was set up for trainees.
Min Jee POV
We go to Park Jinah's house and settle into her room when her half-brother Im Dohyun pokes his head in the doorway. He says, "Yah. Jinah-yah. I'm going shopping. Can I buy you something??" He notices me and hugs me. Then he says, "Hey, Min Jee. Haven't seen you around in a while. What's up with you hanging out with my little demon sister??"
I laugh and say, "Oppa. Nice to see you too. But Jinah dragged me here after work. Can you please buy me the same thing you always do?? You haven't forgotten, right??" He says, "Of course not." Then he leaves. Jinah slaps my hand. I say, "First of all, ugh. Second of all, what is it??"
One of the friends, Yoo Rachel, says, "Eonnie. It was so obvious. He was flirting with you." I say, "What?? No. Not at all." Jinah says, "What, are you blind??" I laugh and say, "Yeah, I think I'm going blind." Jinah rolls her eyes and I smile. Jinah convinces me to stay the night at the end and we stay up all night.
Next morning
On the way to school, Im Dohyun joins me and the girls. He asks, "S'up??" His friend Park Bosung joins us as well. He notices me and says, "Oh wow. Kim Min Jee. Long time no see. Why are you spending time with that ugly worm when you could be spending time with me??" He points at Dohyun. He hugs me tightly and I pat his shoulder, saying, "Oppa. You don't want to kill me, do you??"
He hugs me even tighter and asks, "How do you know??" I laugh and then he lets me go. The only thing I didn't know was that Yoongi was watching this whole scene from the sidelines, going on his usual morning walk to the store and back.
We soon get to school and before going to class, Jinah asks: "Hey, eonni. Maybe we can meet up in the evening after your shift and everyone goes out?? Our whole group, including the boys. It would be like the good old days when you were still in our class and Dohyun oppa still hung out with us."
I say: "Ugh, why not??" She smiles and hugs me before going to class. It feels so good to have close friends again. It's just a shame that Yoongi oppa is busy all the time. With those thoughts in mind, I head to class.
After school, Yoongi POV
Okay. I hope I finally get to meet Min Jee. I'm at her school, looking at my phone. Just a few more minutes. Time is passing surprisingly slowly now.
Min Jee finally comes out of school with her group of friends and she looks my way. She runs and I'm ready to catch her, but she jumps into the arms of the guy standing next to me. He spins her. She gets down and smiles then says:"Dohyun oppa, should we go?" Then she freezes because she notices me. But without saying anything, she just lowers her gaze and keeps going further. I get confused, watching her leave without one word but I sigh and give up.
Min Jee POV
After work, my friends meet me and we go out for a walk. The girls walk in front with Bosung. And Dohyun and I walk behind everyone, talking in private. Then Dohyun starts poking and teasing me. I run to Bosung and say, "Oppa. Help me. Dohyun is poking and won't leave me alone."
Bosung turns to Dohyun and says, "Well, well, Dohyun hyung. Who treats girls like that?? Is there any shame in that??" Then he turns to me, picks me up and throws me over his shoulder, then starts spinning around in a circle. I start screaming and punching Bosung on the shoulder. The girls just stand aside and laugh at me.
