CHAPTER16:INTERUPTIONS

Lyles uncle fetched us and dropped us off at my house. My mom went out with aunt Jackie,Eves mom. We were alone in my house. "Would you like anything to drink?" I asked. "Sure," he said. "Juice,tea,coffee,cookdrink or water?" I asked. "Cooldrink please," he replied. "Okay." I said and went to the kitchen. He followed behind me and sat on a chair at the table. "So what can you tell me about you?" Lyke asked suddenly. "Well you know I love dancing,my favourite fast food outlet is MacDonalds and I love English Toffee flavoured frozen yogurt." I said. "What hobbies do you enjoy?"he asked. "Reading,dancing,watching movies and tv series. How 'bout you?" I asked. "Soccer is the only hobby I enjoy," he said. "The only one?" I asked. "Yeah," he said. I sat down across from him at the table.

"So what are we going to do for these few hours?" Lyle asked. "I dont know. I usually just listen to music and read." I said. "Really?"he asked. "I know its lame but.." I said. "Its not lame. Its better than sitting at home not knowing what to do with yourself," he said. "I thought you mostly with your group inside an outside of school." I said. "Not really," he said. "I still dont get why you in that group." I said. "I joined that group because I didnt wanna be on my own anymore. I got tired of not having friends," he said. "If you remember correctly I was your friend until you left me in the last term of grade8. I was so angry at you until I met Eve. When you joined that group I felt so betrayed." I said. "Im sorry. I just wanted to get some reaction out of my grandparents. They always went on about how I never have any friends," he said. "In a way Im glad you left because otherwise I wouldnt have met Eve." I said. "Oh...kay?"he said confused and a silence passed between us. "We could watch a movie?" I suggested. "Sure," he said and we moved to the livibg room. I didnt want to choose a romance. "Frozen Ground?" I asked. "Dont know the movie," he said." Nicholas Cage and Vanessa Hudgens starrs in it." I said. "Oh okay," he said. I put the movie on and sat next to him.

During the movie he slid his arm over my shoulders and I laid against him. When the movie ended I went to the kitchen to get us more cooldrink. As I got to the fridge Lyle came up behind me turning me around and leaned in to kiss me. We were interupted by a loud knock at the front door. We stopped and were breathing really hard. He put hus forehead against mine as we recovered. "Im seriously falling for you," he said. "Like wise." I replied. He took my hand in his and we went to the door. It was his uncle. "I have to go home so I need to drop you off at grandpa's," his uncle said. "Alright." Lyle said and turned to me. "Sorry about earlier. I think I frightened you a bit," he said. "A bit." I said. "Well I have to go. I had fun. Thanks for coming," he said. "Me too. Thanks." I said. "Pleasures all mine," he said left a soft kiss upon my lips and left.

After he left I sat down on the couch and replayed todays events over in my head. Its not the most romantic date I'd have imagined but it was wonderful. He finally tild me why he left me alone in grade8.

I opened whatsapp and I had a message from Eve:so? How was it?

Me:it was great. I hd fun nd u?
Eve:awesome! Im seriously falling fr Ty. Major!!

Me:i cld c. U 2 jst wanted 2 b alone...ooohhh.

Eve:Ty jst left. Matt is in his room as usual nd moms wit urs

Me:hws Matt dng? I saw hm lst tuesday

Eve:hes as normal as he cn b. U told Matt we're gng to hs basketball championship. Y?

Me:hey! Hs gud really. Y dnt u wna go?

Eve:i neva go. Im only dragged 2 go to these games bcoz of u. Y r u gng anyway?

Me:its fun. Besides its fun seeing boys in shorts shooting baskets

Eve:hahhahhaha..funny

Me:ur sarcasm isnt lost on me. Its hilarious. Ha ha ha

Just as I was about to put my phone off it vibrated again and it was Tyler. Tyler:u looked pretty today

Me:uh...thnx. u looked ..dashing?

Me:totally awesome!! Nd u?

Tyler:mega awesome!!

Me:lol. R u eva gna tell me wats gng on wit u nd lyle

Tyler:nope. Neva. Ask ur bf. He has the prob. Change of topic needed.

Me:hw cn i drop it if my bf hates that i hug my frend(you)? I saw the luk he gave u

I replied and put my phone off. In the kitchen I made myself a cup of hot chocolate an got ready for bed. It was a really long day and Im extremely exhausted. Just as I got in bed my phone rang.

"Hey mom." I said. "Hey sweety. I'll be home by 10," she said. "Well Im going to bed now. Enjoy your evening further." I said. "Thanks hon. Keep your mobile network on in case I need you," she said. "Okay. Love you." I said. "Love you," she said and hung up.

Once I put my mobile network on and I had a message from Lyle:hey bbe(if i may call u that)i hope u hd a great tym

I replied:sure i dd. I actually hate the wrd bbe srry. Hw bwt u?

He replied instantaneously:its ok. U hve a prettier name. Besides the interuptions i hd an extraordinary day

Me:interuptions?

Lyle:nate & robyn thn my uncle at da door

Me:oh them

Lyle:yeah them. Wat u dng tmrrw?

Me:hanging wit Eve....witout any uhmm..interuptions...

Lyle:lol okay. Sleep tite
