Goyle and Parkinson

I woke up the next morning in the Slytherin common room. Albus and Scorpius were sleeping on either side of me, Albus hugging a pillow like a teddy bear and Scorpius with his hand mere inches from mine. I suddenly remembered that we fell asleep holding hands, which my parents also did sometimes.

I got up, careful not to disturb the two boys next to me. Pulling out the time turner, I started singing a muggle lullaby my Mum sang me sometimes. It was called "Beauty and the Beast," It was from, you guessed it, the muggle movie Beauty and the Beast.

Suddenly I heard an all too familiar female voice say, "Matthew, I can't believe you did that, I'm sure it was hilarious, but his sister will be a little angry."

"I know, but that stupid Hugo Granger Weasley never squeals."

"Indeed, but his sister is not stupid, she'll figure it out."

"Rose? I'll take care of her if you need me too."

"No, not yet, didn't you look outside on new years? A woman named Delphi wants to kill her. Good riddance."

"Patricia, whoever did that made their own dark mark, it may do us well to tell mum and dad about it."

"Sure."

I listened to their conversation in a cold sweat. They were discussing my death like the weather! Needless to say, it made me uncomfortable. I got my phone out and started recording the rest of the exchange.

"Matthew, I think that Mum and Dad would like to join whoever this Delphi is. She sounds powerful! She could give us very high standing if we were to..."

Just then their brother, Vincent, walked into the room to interject.

"Patricia, I dunno. The last two wizarding wars left our family in a bind... this could just make it worse."

"You're just as stupid as Dad! How could you refuse so much power?"

"No, I think it's smarter to join the ministry."

"Vincent, listen to Patricia."

"NO!"

Scorpius started stirring.

"I'll tell mummy and daddy."

Scorpius woke up, saw what was unfolding, and hid.

"Trisha, this is not a fight the dark will win. The Malfoys switched sides, why can't we?"

"The Malfoys are cowards. Lucius is the only respectable one of the lot. He still hates..."

"LUCIUS IS THE COWARD!"

Albus woke with a start. I stopped the recording and hid, hoping not to be seen. "Wuzzgoinon?" Albus asked, rubbing the remaining sleep from his eyes. Matthew and Patricia scrambled away, leaving Vincent behind.

"Albus, It's fine, you're fine, this is all fine. Go ahead and get some sleep." Albus looked at Vincent, confused. "I heard you yelling something about Lucius Malfoy being a coward, what was that all about?"

"Um..."

"Albus, Vince and his siblings had an argument. You are fine, I just need to talk to him for a second." I turned to Vincent and led him into a corner. "Don't be mad, but I recorded the conversation you and your siblings had."

Vincent asked, "Can I see the recording?"

At the end, he agreed that I should show my parents and Professor McGonagall.

I left and went to McGonagall's office, knocked on the Griffin door and waited for her to answer. "Yes?" Professor McGonagall gracefully descended the staircase in a flowery nightdress and her signature witch hat.

"It's serious, you need to come here and I need to show you something."

She watched the recording, and once it was done, she wordlessly led me into her office and told me to sit down. She owled my parents and called Vincent, Albus and Scorpius up to her office. Once they arrived, they sat in the three chairs adjacent to mine.

"You four are witnesses to this conversation and I think that the minister and head of the auror department are going to ask you a lot of questions. I want you to answer honestly, seeing as how this could be the difference between life and death for three of you.

Speak of the devil, my Mum, Dad, and Uncle burst into the room, followed closely by my Aunt and Draco. "Rose, Albus, Scorpius, Vincent, are you alright?" My Mum hugged me as she asked.

After the traditional hugging of the children in the room, My mum and Uncle bombarded us with questions. I showed them the recording I had taken, and my Uncle and Dad looked pretty steamed about the way that the Goyle/Parkinson kids had talked about their children being murdered by a sociopath.

They left for the ministry at about noon, so as to speak with Pansy Parkinson and Gregory Goyle about their kids.

Vincent looked scared. I really didn't blame him, he had just gotten his whole family in trouble!

It was about 5:00 pm. when the Parkinson/Goyle parents arrived. "VINCENT CRABBE GOYLE YOU ARE HEREBY DISINHERITED FROM THE PARKINSON GOYLE FAMILY!"
