Scorose, Alibus, and Vily

In February, everybody was abuzz about the Valentines ball. I saw literally ten boys look at me when the headmistress made the announcement and I resolved to avoid all of them except Scorpius, who was among them. 

Alice  was so excited about the whole thing that she would practice dancing when she thought the dorms were empty (Which they were not.). She had a secret crush on someone, and I was determined to find out who. I pestered her about the issue for about a week before she finally gave in. It went something like this:

Me: Hey Alice?

Alice: Yeah?

Me: Who is your secret crush?

Alice: That's all you've asked for a week! 

Me: When are you going to tell me?

Alice: Later

Me: Ali, the ball is a week away, you can't keep hiding your feelings for whoever it was that you are crushing on. 

Alice: Alright, don't tell anyone what I'm about to tell you.

Me: Kay...

Alice: I am crushing...

Me: What?

Alice: On your... cousinalbus

Me: Ali...

Alice: On your cousin.... (whispers) Albus.

Me: Albus?

Alice: Yes. 

Me: (Put girly squeal only bats can hear here)

After she told me, I told her a lot of stuff about my cousin and she took note of everything. I even included his favourite color (Red) and food (my alien cousin likes ketchup with macaroni and cheese) 

"I hope he asks me!" Alice said once I finished. She left, singing to herself the song "I love you like a love song" by Selena Gomez. 

Now to get Scorpius to ask me. 

For the next few days I wore a little makeup and curled my hair every morning, hoping that he would pay more attention to me. He was paying more attention to me, but he was too scared to ask me out, (Gosh darn it!) until one day.

I was by the lake with Alice, Lily and Vincent when Albus and Scorpius came out of nowhere holding flowers. Scorpius ran up to me and said, "Rosettajeangrangerweasleywillyougowithmetothevalentineball?"

"Sorry, what?"

"Rose, will you do me the honor of going to the Valentines ball with me?"

"YES!" 

Scorpius relaxed so much it was hilarious. He then sat by me and said, "I can't quite believe I did that." I laughed and grabbed his hand. 

Albus slowly asked, "Alice... will... you...go...to...the...Valentines... ball... with... me?" 

Alice jumped up and squealed, "YES!" 

Vincent and Lily hugged each other and agreed to go with the other to the ball. And just like that, we all had a date. 

The ball came faster than I could believe. We were all stressed out by schoolwork and the looming threat of death for me, Albus, and Scorpius. We knew the aurors were searching like mad, but when a crazy lady gathers followers, creates her own dark mark, and says she's going to kill you, you never feel safe. 

I wore a red dress with golden trimmings and styled my hair like my mum did at the yule ball when she was my age. Scorpius came to pick me up in crisp dress robes with a red bowtie, and it was so cute! 

We danced for a really long time, not caring that the whole room was staring at the girl with a lightning scar and the Malfoy. It was just me and him. Him and me. 

Lily and Vincent also hit the floor, earning stares from people as well. Albus and Alice were the cherry on top, so basically, if you weren't dancing, you were staring at the couples of the night. 

We had so much fun! Afterwards I made a mental note to never turn down a dance with Scorpius. He lead me to the portrait hole and we stopped. He turned to me, and I looked up. Peeves had been playing around in the Christmas decor, obviously, because there was a sprig of mistletoe put on the ceiling by a piece of gum. We had our second kiss. Is it possible that the second could be better than the first? 

I went to bed that night feeling super happy. I wanted to make it official. I walked to the edge of the room to face the window and took in the sky in all its beauty. 

Just then a bloodcurdling scream shook me from my thoughts. 

I ran down the stairs into the common room, meeting a sight that would haunt my nightmares forever. 

Bluebell Brown had her wand pointed towards a cloaked figure. The figure said in an icy cold voice, "Avada Kedavra" and Bluebell was dead on the ground.
