Hugo's Point of view

Two weeks. My older sister has been missing for two weeks. It all started when I saw Rose running down the stairs crying. Mum says girls sometimes need 'alone time' so I didn't follow her.

About half an hour later my parents came down. They looked more well rested than they had in weeks. I smiled at them, and they smiled back. "Hey Hugo, have you seen Rose?" my mum asked.

"Well, about half an hour ago she went outside. I think she wanted some time alone. She'll probably be back soon." I responded. My mum still looked a little worried. She went outside, calling for Rose to come in, please.

No response.

"Rose?" My dad poked his head out. He scanned the surrounding area and said, "She isn't outside."

They looked for the next little while. After about an hour, they started getting worried. I helped look for a while.

Rose never turned up.

At the end of the day, mum sent owls to Ginny, Bill, Percy, George, Draco, and Neville. All of the owls turned up either saying, 'No we haven't, tell us if you find her', or, 'I'll help look for her.'

After two long days of searching, nothing turned up. The whole Weasley clan was scared about what happened to Rose. Soon we sent out search parties, and they didn't find anything.

It was August 31 when we finally found something.

I was looking out the window, hoping for Rose to come back, when I saw an all too familiar head of light brown hair come out from behind a tree. I tied my bedsheets together and came down the side of the house. I ran to the figure.

It was Rose.

"ROSE!" I whisper yelled. She turned around in alarm. "Hugo?"

"It's me. Where have you been for the past two weeks? Everyone is looking for you and you worried mum sick."

She looked disbelieving. "Mum, eh?" She asked, looking disgusted, almost hurt.

"What is going on in that teenage girl brain of yours? Please tell me what's going on. You left the house crying your eyes out!"

"I don't want to. Now, please let me go..."

"ROSE. NO. I am taking you to mum and dad. They have been worried sick."

Looking defeated, she agreed. I took her into the house, where mum and dad were trying to distract themselves with work. When they saw Rose, they ran and hugged her. I just sat there stupidly, watching my mum python hug Rose.

I was happy for the first time in two weeks. Rose was safe.

It wasn't going to last, though.
