Hopes and Time turners

Study like your life depends on it. Because it does.

I took the letter and started reading. It said;

Dear Albus and Scorpius, 

It's only fair if you know this. Delphi has escaped from Askaban and we think she's headed towards Hogwarts to kill you two and another person we don't know the name of yet. Stay safe, don't go looking for her, you know she won't hesitate to kill. Try to figure out the other person she's looking for as well, she only gave us two clues: She's a girl and you both know her pretty well. With love,

A gasp escaped my mouth. Somebody was plotting to kill Scorpius and Albus? NO! I looked at them with an "Explain this." look. 

"Well," Scorpius said, "We were tricked into doing something stupid by a dark witch." "What did you do?" I asked cautiously. They looked at me, guilt written on their faces. Albus spoke up. "We tried to save Cedric Diggory from Voldemort, but we made you and your brother... nonexistent... by accident."

"WHAT?!"

"Rose, please don't kill me! It was stupid and I wish I hadn't done it! We obviously fixed it, but it still happened." 

"Is that why you kept going missing? And would that also explain the train?" 

"Yeah. It would. Did you know that the trolley witch's pumpkin pasties can turn into bombs if you throw them?" Scorpius put his head in his hands.  Albus kept on talking. "We went back in time again, after making you nonexistent, and we accidentally resurrected Voldemort. Scorpius saved us all by reversing the timeline. When we told her that we were going to destroy it, she kidnapped us and tried to make us fulfill a new prophecy about me. We stopped her, and she was left to rot in Askaban, and she escaped yesterday. She's also Voldemort's daughter."

Oh. My. Gosh. "I don't know what I'm supposed to say." I stated. 

"Will you forgive us? We are very truly sorry and I, for one, hope you don't hate us now." Scorpius looked truly penitent as he said it "Of course. It's in the past now, let's move on." My words surprised myself. 

I then heard Roxanne yell, "EARTH TO ROSE! YOUR BROTHER IS GONNA HIT YOU WITH THAT STICKY BUN!" I ducked just as a sticky bun flew through the space my frizzy, poofy light brown hair had been seconds before. I heard Hugo yell "DANGIT! Roxy..." 

I left the great hall and hit the library, and I read up on Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange. Bellatrix was crazy and Voldemort was sadistic. I stopped only during classes that day, I literally stayed up all night studying. Alice noticed I was a zombie the next morning, and I almost punched her when she said I looked dead. I had just spent that whole night reading about a sadistic serial killer couple that my grandma and uncle killed, so I did not want to hear any death jokes. 

The weeks leading up to Christmas holiday were spent studying nonstop in the library, occasionally getting looks from Hugo saying, "Are you done?!" I never stopped though. I wanted to know as much as this Delphi did and that was going to take effort. 

When the holidays came, I got on the train annotating a piece of paper I'd copied with my wand from a book. Lily sat next to me, and after about an hour we heard something. It sounded like... Screaming? I ran from our compartment towards the sound. Towards the worst mistake of that year.
