"I am proud." Selene says, sipping on a glass of wine.
"You almost sound sarcastic." Helios says, as she continued to observe the paintings in the room.
"I wish I did." Selene scoffs, placing her wine down. "It's time like these where I feel as if I made a mistake."
"Don't be obsured." Helios says, smiling as she walked up to her sister. "Why would you ever think that?"
"Because," Selene huffed. "The beginning has lost its memory. It's completely gone. It doesn't recall any of it's true powers and who it even is."
"That's no reason to doubt it." Helios says, sitting beside her. "That's all the more reason to be glad."
"You know that Mnemosyne will be merciful and restore it." She adds.
"But, I feel so discouraged. Like, I've met my own self down. The whole generation of gods and goddesses down." Selene says, still looking at the many clouds.
"You haven't. Tell me about your creation powers, fate....what makes it special."
"Well..." Selene smiled.
Although discouraged, Selene found complete happiness whenever she spoke about her creations. It's what made her, the moon goddess. She a blessing to many, soft spoken but assertive when needed to.
"It's nothing like the werewolves, I can assure you. But, it will have a connection to my Lycans, specially the king of a thousand generations. I choose him because he means much to me and I know he'll protect her."
"How so?"
"Because together, their powers are compatible. It's just as equal. And one put together, can create such a beautiful and powerful species. It is powerful, so powerful that the scums of the earth might even think that she's a goddess herself." Selene says, looking at her sister.
"I admire you, sister." Helios says, smiling at her. "All your creations are truly magnificent."
"Thank you." Selene smiled. "I built all my creatures with a fraction of me, so they are apart of me. Anything that hurts them, hurts me. Which I why I hate to see their fate. Sometimes I wonder if it was really worth to make such a beautiful creature with such a horrible fate to face."
"Well, that's the bittersweet feeling of being a goddess right? That even the most innocent will somehow be tainted." Helios says seriously. "What's this one is fate?"
"A gruelling past. A past so unworthy of it that it will break her to the very core. Species that will be nearly at the brink of breaking her insanity, and responsibilities that even I am not sure she'll be able to take." Selene says, a drown appearing on her face. "Sometimes I wonder if even I had realised what I was doing, knowing the fate of it."
"It will get through it." Her sister reassured.
"By the goddess rings it will. She is a leader, a rare and bright light. A blessing to many species to come. The reason many will come to her for acceptance. She's the beginning of something great, and the queen of all. Many have died before her but she will be the beginning of 5000 centuries to live on. Maybe that's why I still have faith that she'll be alright."
"I see." Helios says, nodding her head in agreement. "What is the name of this new creature? The one that will reign significantly over all else with the Lycan race?"
Selene looked at her chariot, as a small smile came on her face. The moon shun brightly at the back, signaling that it needed to be moved. It reminded her of the babies of the moon.
The stars...
