I sit in Tristan car and look at him curiously. I've tried to get him to tell me where we were going but he stays tight-lipped. He had that mischievous glint in his blue eyes, and they filled with joy and brilliance. He had something big planned. I try to see out into the dark but nothing familiar pops out at me. This is probably one of the drawbacks of not going out much: you don’t know your own town well enough.
Tristan’s hand is interlocked with mine and he rests it on his lap as he drives in the night with one hand. As dangerous as this maybe, his hand brings warmth and comfort to me. I felt a connection with him on not just an emotional but also an emotional level. Something had changed in the locker room, seeing him stand up for me in the locker room had made me want him more. He looked so sexy and protective earlier it made my stomach tighten and form all kinds of knots. My breathing got heavy just thinking about it.
As we come to a traffic light, Tristan raises my hand and brings it to his mouth, he kisses the back of my palm and then bites it gently. I breathe in at the sparks that it evokes all over me. My throat seems to constrict at this small gesture. I squeeze his hand in response to his bite. I look over and see Tristan smiling at me playfully. His joy is infectious; I can’t help but to smile back him in joy too.
Finally, I begin to see buildings and realize we’re in town and turning into the grandest hotel in the country: Royals Hotel. Only the filthy rich could afford to stay here. Many top celebrities and people came to live here when they were in the country. What the hell was Tristan even doing here? Before I can ask him, the door on my side is being opened and Tristan lets go of my hand. Even though I know it for a while, I still feel its absence as the heat from him and the imprint he had left on mine.
Tristan takes his bag with him and hands the keys to the valet and waits for me to come over. I walk over nervously and take his out-stretched hand.
“Tri…. what are we doing here?” I ask intimidated by the mere sight of the door. It was tall and large and marble or granite walls were surrounding it. The doorman opens the door for us and welcomes us to the hotel with a broad smile. He’s wearing white gloves.
“We’re spending the night here” Tristan says nonchalantly, “follow my lead” he says as he walks to the check-in counter.
“Good evening Sir, how can we help you?” The blonde behind the counter asks smiling at us.
“Hi, I have a reserved suite under the Meyer family, I’d like to check-in for the night.” Tristan says confidently and firmly. He sounds like he really does belong to the Meyer’s family.
The blonde checks her computer and looks at us and smiles “Welcome back, Mr Meyer, here’s you card. Have a good night” She says smiling at Tristan only then reluctantly she looks at me and gives me a stiff smile. I want to scowl at her but Tristan is already pulling me away. He leads me to the lift lobby and I can tell that he’s proud of the fact that he just pulled that off. The smile on his face gave it all away.
“Does Jasper know?” I ask him hoping to rain on is parade.
“Nope.” Tristan says not caring about it. The lift arrives and he pulls in; and cause I wasn’t expecting him to do that, I fall into his chest. Tristan presses our floor number and holds me close to him. As the lift climbs up, the energy around us seem to change and I feel the pull to him. My breathing becomes heavy and I find it hard to breath. My knees seem to lose their ability to support me and all I want is to pull at the back of Tristan hair as I kiss him.
Tristan bends down and closes the gap between our faces and presses his lips against mine. The kiss starts off slowly but then it escalates and I feel him drop his bag and he pushes me up against the wall of the lift and takes control of my mouth. He moans as he kisses me and I moan in response. He explores my mouth like it’s the first time he’s doing it. This hips grind against mine and I feel myself light up in sparks. I couldn’t stand it this. My legs were jelly and my hands were numb. I only felt his soft smooth hair in between my fingers as I tugged at them while I kissed him. Each time I tugged Tristan would growl in response.
Before either of us is ready to stop, the lift doors open and Tristan stops kissing me but still pins me to the side. We both pant and try to make sense what just happened. I watch Tristan and he looks into my eyes then just before the door closes, he turns and collects his bag. He takes my hand again and leads me to Jasper’s family’s reserved suit.
My mind reels from what just happened. The tension and passion was evident and it was clear that he wanted to do more, but was I ready for it? Did I want more now with everything else going on in my life? How much more was I willing to go now? I don’t think I was ready for sex. Maybe shirtless make out, cuddling was fine too. Cuddling half naked would be fine too. Just no sex….yet.
