I heard a knock on the door while I was eating breakfast. I got up and looked out the window to see that it was Mel. Since I knew Mel I went and opened the door. "Hey Mel." I greeted.
"Hey. Are you doing anything? I'm so bored and Colt is with his annoying girlfriend." She said and I chuckled.
"Why is she annoying?" I ask Mel and take her to the kitchen.
"Shes a spoiled brat. I don't know why he's still with her. He could do so much better." She told me and I laughed again.
"Well, I'm eating breakfast but then afterwards we can go do something outside if you want." I tell her and she nods. While I eat she sits at the bar and twirls around on the chair.
"Well hi Mel. I didn't know you were here." My mom greeted as she walked in the kitchen.
"Hi Liv. I was bored so I thought I could come over and see what Emory is doing." Mel said cheerfully.
"What are you two girls going to do?" Mom asks me.
"Maybe play ball outside?" I ask Mel and she nods.
"I love playing volleyball." Mel said.
"Then that's what we will do." I tell her and get up to put my bowl in the sink. "Let me change into some shorts real quick."
I ran upstairs and changed into a purple champion shirt with black champion shorts. I twisted my hair up into a bun and then went back downstairs. My mom had found our volleyball and gave it to Mel, who was waiting for me at the door.

We walked outside and distanced ourselves from the pool and anything breakable. We began to pepper with the ball. We counted as we went and we got up to 34 continuous passes. After peppering we played around and was keeping score to who lost the ball.
I ended up winning so I suggested that we just try to keep it going for as long as possible. We were able to keep it going for 61 times before Mel hit it to high for me and I couldn't get to it.
"Im hot." Mel complained.
"Let's take a break and sit by the pool." I suggest and she follows me over. I sit on the edge of the pool and stick my legs in. The water feels so cool compared to my hot legs.
"What are you two doing?" A voice came from right behind me.
"What the hell?" I said quickly and jumped around. I grabbed onto the grass to support myself so I didn't fall in. Colton started laughing at me.
"Oh my god." He said between laughter. "The way you said that sounded so cute and innocent." He could barely breathe from laughing so hard.
"You scared me." I told him as he sobered up.
"Still it was just the way you said it. It sounded like how a five year old cussing for the first time would sound." He said and laughed again.
"Are you finally done with your girlfriend?" Mel asked him.
