"You find any yet?" I look over to Colton to see him spinning around in my desk chair. It has been about two weeks since we came back from the cabin.
"No." I say with a sigh. I have been trying to find colleges since it's July and I'll be starting my senior year in a month. "I don't even want to go to college. There is so many people and what if I don't have any friends there or I get paired with some rich girl that hates me."
"Go to the same college as me. Then we'd know for sure that we will know someone." Colton tells me with a shrug.
"And what college are you going to?" I ask him.
"I'm not 100% sure. I want to go to one that's a few hours away. Like Gladeview or Jerseys." He tells me. They are both in Tennessee but they are about three hours from where we live. (These are made up college names btw.)
"I still have to worry about roommates and all the people there." I say with a sigh. "Wouldn't it be easier to just do online classes?"
"No because then you would miss out on the college experience." He tells me. "Just apply to the ones I apply to as long as they have what you need and then whichever one that we both get into, we go there. You could always get a room to yourself or we could be roommates."
"I don't want you to have to worry about me." I tell him.
"You're my best friend, I'd always worry about you. At least this way I can make sure everyone is nice to you." He says.
"Yeah alright. I'll look at the colleges that you are thinking about." I say so he will leave me alone.
"Hey, Jake wants me to meet him at our spot. Do you want to come?" Colton asks me.
"I guess. Where's your spot?" I ask him.
"I'll show you when we go there." He told me. "Now change because I don't think you want to be around Jake wearing that." He says and I look down to what I'm wearing. It's a cropped rainbow lounge outfit.
"What's wrong with it?" I ask him.
"Nothing but Jake will like it, a little to much." He said with a chuckle. I blushed a little but I walked off to my closet to find a more appropriate outfit. I ended up picking out some American Eagle Jean shorts with a burnt orange tank top. I threw on some Birkenstock's before going back to where Colton was still on my desk chair.
