Yoongi scrolled through the long list of codes. Searching for any mistakes while waiting for another set of code to be interpreted and downloaded. He flinched when he heard an explosion sound and turned around to see Namjoon busy fanning away smoke. His eyesfell on the burnt piece of circuit board. Sighing, he turned back around, looking at the screen.
"Keep a watch on the voltages." Yoongi mumbled, scrolling through, "What was the circuit for anyway?"
"I'm sorry." He heard Namjoon mumbled, "Your... processing unit."
Yoongi paused, turning around once again. He had been working on that project for almost a month and now since the most important was destroyed, he had to start all over again. He glared at his friend who looked completely helpless and guilty at the moment.
Yoongi sighed and got up, shaking his head, "Did you get hurt?"
"No..." Namjoon quietly answered and Yoongi discarded the useless piece of circuit and checked on the rest of his project, "I swear I don't know what went wrong. I was just trying to help."
Yoongi stared at the circuit in the trash can. Wondering, how he was going to compress a month worth of work within two weeks. He was little frustrated at Namjoon, but at the same time he knew that there was no point in scolding him. He rolled his eyes and walked away.
"Just go check the calculations, Joon." Yoongi sighed.
He didn't get a verbal reponse but guessed Namjoon agreed anyways. It stayed quiet in the room for a few minutes, Yoongi working on his codes while Namjooon checked the calculations before the younger spoke up.
"Hyung, when are you planning to stop hating Jimin?" Namjoon asked, "You've known him for like three years and hated him all the time. This is your last year, maybe you should should at least come to terms with each other. He's a good kid."
"And I don't care," Yoongi replied, closing attaching wires, "You know pretty well, I hate humans."
When he glanced to his side, he saw Namjoon looking at him with raised eyebrow, "There are a few exceptions, of course."
The younger grinned happily. His dimples on show before he went back to his work. Yoongi rolled his tongue across the inner of his cheek, wondering what to do next. He had checked the codes and now all he had to do was wait for it to get downloaded.
"Where's Hoseok?" Yoongi asked, realizing his other friend hadn't messaged him since morning.
"Uh, he doesn't have class until afternoon, and he stayed up late practicing last night, so he'still asleep, I guess." Namjoon answered, "When I left the apartment, I heard him snoring, so..."
Yoongi clicked his tongue and decided to message Hoseok before putting it away and going back to his work.
"Oh, your professor asked you to meet him later on." Namjoon mumbed without looking up.
"When?"
"He didn't say a time."
Yoongi hummed and nodded. He put away his things in once place and started to clean up the mess. He had leave the lab in a few minutes and keep it clean for the upcoming students. He packed up everything he need in a bag, and the ones which were still been worked on were carefully put aside with a label on it.
"Alright, I checked everything and corrected all the mistakes." said Namjoon, handing over the sheets of paper, "If you don't understand my handwriting, I won't understand it either."
"I thought you had a decent handwriting." Yoongi teased.
Namjoon rolled his eyes, "I wrote fast, okay?"
Yoongi chuckled, putting away the papers in the bag without caring if they got crumbled against the other books.
"Hey, are you coming today? For the hangout?" Namjoon asked as they walked out of the room.
"Um, I want to, but-"
"But you can't, got it." Namjoon finished.
Yoongi gave a slight guilty look, "I want to, I really do, but I got things to do."
"Yeah, it's okay." Namjoon replied, patting his back, "You don't have to give me a reason. I get it. Your project is a difficult one. But, just, don't forget to take breaks in between."
Yoongi narrowed his eyes, "You don't get to say, Joon."
His friend grinned sheepishly, scratching the back of his head. They talked for a little while before Namjoon had to go different way for his classes. Yoongi didn't have his next class for the next thirty minutes so he decided to go meet his AI professor.

Yoongi knocked on the door of his professor office. Upon hearing a muffled 'come in' he opened the door and walked in.
"Ah, Yoongi." The professor smiled, motioning Yoongi to take a seat, "You got my message."
"Did I do something?" Yoongi chuckled, sitting down.
"No, not yet." The professor replied, "But you have to do something."
"Okay..."
The professor put forward a sheet in front of him. Yoongi, took a glance and recognized the logo right away.
"I know you don't want to take part in this," The professor spoke up before Yoongi could, "But you've already been chosen from our university."
"But sir-"
"Listen Yoongi, there is no harm in taking part in this once." The professor interuppted, "The Head Chancellor has already decided. All you have to do is fill the fee for the conference and take a look. I'm sure you'll like it."
Yoongi bit the inside of cheek. Tapping his feet anxiously on the floor as he looked at the form. He had the chance to do it last year as well, but Yoongi was far from confident in his self. He was scared that he might mess up and make a complete fool of himself in front of the judges.
But at the same time, if he takes part, he already gets a lot more opportunities in the research field. Even if he doesn't win the thing. He nibbled on his lower lips, wondering if he should take it. He wanted to. But the same time he scared. And he was pretty sure if Namjoon and Hoseok knew about this, they would want to me take part as well.
He let out a frustrated sigh and agreed to take part. He knew there were more students that were selected for this, and if didn't agree, he would simply be replaced. But he didn't want to give up on this oppurtunity.
He exchanged a few more words with his professor before mumbling a thank you and walking out of the office. He sighed a little seeing the entry fee for the conference. He could manage but it would be a little difficult.
Guess, he'll just have to work double time in part time job. He could collect enough money before the summer break.
