Yoongi carefully assembled the pieces together. His eyes glancing at the watch after every few minutes to make sure they were on time. Today the second round was going to take place. So, Jimin and him had been working since early in the morning to piece together all the parts of their machine. It wasn't totally complete. While the tools provided in the labs were useful, they weren't enough. There were a lot more things they needed which wasn't present. So, the machine was more like an very elaborate light show with a few working parts. It could still give a few readings when connected to the machine. The problem was, the readings couldn't directly be translated and then used to move any machinery parts. Instead, Yoongi had to separately make a program for it. It wasn't elegant, but it was something. And the best the two could've made with all the resources they had.

Yoongi watched anxiously as Jimin fit in the last part, and checked the calculations to make sure everything was okay. Once he got a short nod form the younger, he let the program compile. From the corner of his eyes he saw the other cross his fingers together as they waited. The loading bar slowly filled up. Then came the rotating buffering sign.

"Yes!" Both of them chorused when it said- 'Program complied successfully'. Yoongi checked the time. It was fifteen to five.

"Alright, let's go."

Both of them picked up the machine carefully in their hands and rushed to the elevator. Yoongi struggling to balance himself as he chained his bag close. Jimin counting the papers to make sure everything was correct.

He let out a deep breath and looked up, nodding. Breaking in a relieved smile as they walked of the elevator. A lot of other participants were already present. Looking just as nervous as them. They found an empty chair. Placing down their machine. A helmet to collect  and read the neural waves and few robotic arms that were going to be connected to the wires. Apart from that they also had an presentation prepared. Yoongi quietly mumbling all the important points nder his breath as they waited. His hands went cold when the first name was called. A group of foreigners pushing, two cylinders connected to a box, on a trolley.

"What do you think they were working on?" He heard Jimin ask.

Yoongi narrowed his eyes at the cylinders, trying to read the bigger letters. "Those are liquid nitrogen cylinders... I... I think they are trying to convert atmospheric carbon dioxide into something."

He heard Jimin hum in a manner that said, 'cool' before going back to mumbling under his breath. Yoongi too focused back at recalling the important points for their presentation.

Yoongi curled up his hand in a tight fist as the lights came back on in the room. He clenched his jaw in a thin line as they left the room. Far too ashamed at himself. He had made a ridiculous mistake that could have them eliminated. He was so nervous that he missed out the timing. Ruining everything. He took a short glance the younger. Feeling even more horrible when he saw the dejected look on the other. Not only was he upset at his mistake, but also because he ruined everything for Jimin.

Neither of them spoke as they walked towards the elevators. Or at least Yoongi didn't notice. Maybe Jimin tried to say something, but he didn't pay attention. Too occupied in his self loathing.

And it didn't help when the memories of past flooded his mind. Reminding him of all the time he was told over, and over again. That he would never be good enough. That he could never do a thing right.
