Yoongi checked the address of the restaurant Hoseok had sent, before checking it with their current location. He looked up to see a group foreigners looking their way. One of them, a blond, was staring in Yoongi's direction. Then, the blond's gaze shifted to Jimin, and Yoongi felt this certain urge to stand in front of the younger and block the blond's view. He glanced over to his side and saw that Jimin had seen the blond looking in his direction. As they crossed the group, Jimin looked over his shoulder, a smirk plastered on his face.
Yoongi rolled his eyes, and bit down to his lip to hold back any sound of annoyance. He didn't know why he felt like this.
"Liked that guy?" Yoongi mumbled, pretending to be on his phone. As if, there wasn't this raw feeling gnawing inside of him.
"Huh-Wha-What guy?" Jimin stuttered.
Yoongi put on a smirk, and closed his phone. He looked up to see Jimin's cheeks tinted in light pink, and eyes wide, "The one you were checking out."
Jimin's eyes widen even more, the blush darkening on his cheek, "I-I wasn't checking out any-anyone-"
"Sure." Yoongi's grinned, and looked away. As soon as his face out of Jimin's point of view, his smirk dropped, and he let out a tired sigh. Pretending was exhausting.
His eyes flickered up when he saw the restaurant's name, and stopped walking. Jimin bumping into him from behind. He muttered 'careful' out of reflex, as he pushed the door open and walked in. He held it open, until Jimin was inside before letting the door close by itself. He had to glance around the almost empty restaurant once before spotting his best friend.
Hoseok smiled brightly seeing them, and raised his hands to wave at them. Yoongi followed after and excited Jimin who skipped his way all over to the table. The table was round with three chairs, and both of the raven heads ended up sitting opposite to Hoseok.
"You had the first stage today, right?" Hoseok asked, "How did it go?"
"Good, hyung messed up, but I covered up for it." Jimin grinned. Shrugging nonchalantly. Yoongi rolled his eyes, but couldn't help but smile seeing the adorable expression on the younger's face. Hoseok raised his eyebrow with an amused expression.
"Oh? Yoongi hyung, I thought you were a perfectionist. You don't mess up that easy, from what Namjoon says. What happened?" Hoseok asked, trying to fight back a smile.
Yoongi rolled his eyes once again, and shook his head, "Shut up and order. I'm hungry."
This time Hoseok looked genuinely surprised and shocked. But before he had the chance to say anything, the waiter came up for the order. All three quickly gave their choices before resuming their chat.
"Hyung, when's your dancing competition?" Jimin asked, drinking water.
"Uh this sunday." Hoseok answered, "I'm going back on Monday."
Yoongi hummed and reached for a tissue. He froze when Jimin reached for it at the same time. Their fingers barely brushing together. But it was enough to have Yoongi's mind go completely astray for a few seconds. When he came back to his senses he saw Hoseok looking at him with a skeptic look.
Hoseok and Jimin soon engaged in talking about dance, and all. Yoongi was listening to it at first, but soon found himself getting lost. It was Jimin's turn to speak, he realized. He was listening. He was listening to Jimin's voice, not the words. He realized that Jimin's voice while he spoke was a lot different from when he sang along to the songs. He assumed people would describe his singing voice similar the way angels might sound like. Yoongi grimaced when he found himself agreeing to that thought. And when Jimin spoke in conversation, his voice dropped to lower octaves. It wasn't as deep as his, not even near. But was deeper compared to his singing voice. Like, his singing voice would be like... something beautiful, but lethal at the same time. And his normal, speaking voice would be like coffee.
