He tilted his head a little to the side. His tongue, poking at the corner of his lips. His gaze stuck upon the array of wires that needed to be soldered to the circuit board. A pleased smile showed up on his lips after attaching the final wire for the set, and looked up. He unknowingly seeked for the expression on Yoongi's face; wondering if he did a good job. The smile dropped from his face when the elder wasn't present on the opposite side of the table. He looked around, and found the elder sitting on the oppsite side of the room with his laptop on his lap, and papers spread around next to him. Jimin puckered his lips, pushing away the circuit board, and the hot soldering rod. Then, he walked over to the elder's side to see what he was doing.
"Whatcha doing?"
He frowned a little when the elder didn't even glance up at him as he answered, "The reports."
Jimin sighed, and nodded, sitting down and picked up a few of the papers. His eyes shifted ever so often up at the elder, before falling back down to the scribbled letters in black and blue. His thoughts shifted to yesterday. He wondered who it was, that made Yoongi smile like that. He had never seen him smile like. And no matter how much he kept on asking who it was, Yoongi answers were- 'Someone really special.', 'I won't tell you.', 'You possibly don't know that person.' and after nagging to him for hours, Yoongi sighed and only stared at him for a while, before muttering 'good night' and going to sleep.
He tried asking Hoseok but even the pink haired gave similar answers— 'It's not my place to tell', 'You'll get to know eventually'
"Hyung, is everything alright?" He asked. His question went unheard. Jimin pouted a little, and called out once again, "Hyung! Hyung! Yoongi! Min Yoongi! Mr. I-Know-Everything! Machin-"
"What?" Yoongi snapped back, and Jimin grinned. "Knew you would answer to one of those names."
Yoongi narrowed his eyes at him, and checked the time. "Alright pack up, the results will be out in a few minutes."
Jimin checked the time as well. The list of all those who will be going on to the next round will be pinned on the huge board at the ground hall. The results will be out at noon, and scores will be emailed individually to all the participants.
Jimin had completely forgotten about it. Too absorbed in his work, to check the time. His eyes widen a little, the familiar feeling of nervousness bubbling inside of him. He remembered all the mistakes he had made during the presentation. He got up, piling the papers together and putting them inside respective files. As he raised his head up to see where the other was, he found the room to be completely empty. Or at least so he thought.
Jimin let out an undiginified yelp when the elder popped up in front of him and realized that Yoongi was crouched down, picking up his stationary. Yoongi stared him for a while, and Jimin started to feel a little insecure, along with the previous nervousness.
"You've grown taller." Yoongi mumbled, and hummed amusedly.
"Huh?"
"You've gotten taller." Yoongi repeated.
"Ho-How did you kno-what- really?" Jimin bit his lips. Embarrassed at the way he stumbled over his words.
"Yeah, a little taller, I think." Yoongi answered, holding up his index finger right over his thumb, and small gap inbetween. Jimin felt a little warmth flow upto his cheeks at the way Yoongi looked at him. The nervousness of the result, and the unexplainable feeling gnawing inside of him.
