Yoongi placed the items on the counter, waiting for the chasier to count the prince. While he waited, he pulled out his purse and sighed, "I'm making Namjoon pay for this."
And as if on cue, the said person called him. Yoongi creased his brows lightly and checked the time at the wall lock of the shop. It was nearly seven, and on saturdays, he knew Namjoon went to tutor high school students. He pressed the accept button and placed the phone next to his ear.
"What?" Yoongi asked, checking the items in the bag.
"Wow, okay, hello to you too hyung." Namjoon mumbled in reply which made Yoongi snicker. "Anyways, um, SeokJin hyung let me know that he transferred a part of the research fund to your bank account."
"Uh-huh, Wait-" Yoongi grinned,"- when did Mr. Kim become SeokJin hyung for you?"
There was a silence on the other side of the call for a second, and Yoongi grinned wider knowning he caught Namjoon off guard.
"Uh-Uh I tell you that you got money, and that's what you ask?" Namjoon asked in return, trying to play it off cool. Yoongi rolled his eyes before replying, "So, just let Hoseok know, I'm placing a bet, okay?"
"Yeah, about Hoseok, did you meet him yet?" Namjoon asked.
"Uh, no, not yet." Yoongi answered, he knew that Hoseok and his team had landed two days ago, but they still couldn't meet up, "He called and said that their team is facing some difficulties, and he won't be able to meet up before monday. The first round is on monday morning, and I'll meet later on in the evening."
"Ah okay." Namjoon hummed.
Yoongi waited for a few seconds before deciding to tease the other, but Namjoon beat him to it.
"Hyung, have you been okay?" He asked, "What happened that day, after the call?"
"Uh, Jimin and I... well, I don't know..." Yoongi trailed away, thinking about the younger raven head boy. He had seen how Jimin had been behaving distantly recently. Constant fear and pain etched onto his face. The usual gleam from his eyes was missing. His entire aura was down and gloomy. He knew Jimin hadn't been sleepging well. Waking up in the middle of the night. Yoongi was very light sleeper and woke up whenever Jimin walked out to the verandah. He didn't know what to say, or what to do.
"Complicated?" Namjoon's teasing tone broke his chain of thoughts.
"What? No, we just haven't talked it out yet... We did hate each other's guts like two weeks ago. And then, a lot of things happened. Having to deal with each for twenty-four hours and-"
"You're rambling, hyung." Namjoon interuppted, "You've started to care about him, haven't you?"
Yoongi bit his lips, and didn't reply. He wanted to say no, but also had the urge to say yes. He heard Namjoon sigh, and knew the other got the answer he failed to utter.
"It's going to be alright, hyung." Namjoon spoke, "You're not going to mess it up. There is no need to worry about messing it up."
"Yeah? And how long did it take for you and Hoseok start liking me?" Yoongi scoffed
"Uh, Hoseok would say a month, and for me... well, the jury's still out."
Yoongi scoffed once again, "Wow, you're a real good friend, Joon. Thanks for the confidence booster."
"I'm kidding hyung." Namjoon chuckled, "You're a great friend."
"Yeah, I know."
"Sure you do. Anyways, as much as I would like to continue this conversation, I need to go."
