Uryu had to take a second to think of Ichigo's words.
Hearing a strange sound, Rukia and I look up at the Menos Grande. A red orb of energy begins forming in front of it's mouth.
"He's...going to use a Cero?" Rukia voices her thoughts.
"Cero?" I repeat.
"If that thing hits either one of them, they'll be destroyed."
I face my brother, who's watching the Hollow charge up.
"Ichi-"
"A lady like yourself shouldn't be yelling, Ms. Kurosaki." Kisuke interrupts me.
I glare at the back of his head.
"If my brother gets hit, he'll be-"
"You said you wanted to protect your family, right?"
"..."
"You'll be protecting Ichigo if you stay silent. I promise, everything will work out in the end."
"...Fine, but I'm holding you to that promise."
"Of course, little lady."
"This is the only way!" Uryu gets ready to fire his bow. "Let's do this, Kurosaki! Connect your sword to my body again-"
Ichigo, with sword in hand, rushes right pass Uryu.
"Kurosaki?! Wait, where are you going?!"
Ichigo...
He stops at the base of the Hollow just as it's blasts it's Cero. Holding his sword up, Ichigo tries to fend off the attack.
"...? Ms. Kurosaki, your nails."
"Oh, sorry."
I didn't realize I was gripping Kisuke's shoulders so tight.
"Just keep watching. Things are about to take a wild turn."
I do what he says and return my eyes to Ichigo. He had stopped the attack just to send one back. Somehow, he actually slashed the Menos Grande in half. The Hollow retreats back into the hole in the sky.
