Like Father, Like Daughter

Five. Five days ago. Five days since Shifu took Tigress from that dreaded orphanage. Five. Three. Tigress was three. Three years old. Three. One. One day ago, Tigress decided that Shifu would never show her love. One. And that is where this story begins.

Thunder rumbles. Lightning flashed.
CRASH!!!!
'Oh no.....' Tigress thought. "Tigress....." Shifu raised his voice. Tigress bent down to pick up the broken pieces of the vase. "Tigress!! What did you do?" Shifu said, looking at the shards of broken glass. "M..m...master..... I'm s..s...sorry..." Tigress said quietly. "You are ridiculous!" Shifu yelled, knocking a piece of glass out of Tigress's paw, and it scratched her paw. "Why did yo knock it over?" Shifu said. Tigress opened her mouth to say something, but thought better of it. Shifu took a deep breath. Tigress closed her eyes. Shifu only does that right before he gets angry. "Do you know how important that vase is?!? The original owner is long gone!! Why did I even think I can take you in?! You are destructive. The orphanage wasn't wrong! You're a monster! Go to your room!" Shifu yelled. Tigress ran out the room, crying. "Someone's in trouble?" Oogway asked, walking to Shifu. "Yes. She broke your vase Master." Shifu said. "So?" Oogway said. "So? So that's the vase that Master Yuby gave you! He has been dead for over 50 years! It can't be replaced!" Shifu said. "It is just a vase Shifu." Oogway said. Tigress reached her room. Tears rolled down her cheek. "I told him I was sorry.." Tigress cried. Tigress looked at her window. "Maybe its time I go.......he hates me!! He doesn't love me, he never will. I think its better if I leave." Tigress cried, climbing out her window. Tigress ran away from the palace through the stormy weather. "...fragile!" Shifu finished his sentence. "Shifu, a child's heart is the most fragile thing of all." Oogway said. Shift looked down. "She needs love. And you show her none. Go. Go before you lose another." Oogway said. "Thank you Master." Shifu said, running to Tigress's room. Shifu opened the door.....no Tigress. 'No! I will not lose her too. It's not been too late!' Shifu thought, alerting Zane to help him find Tigress. Tigress ran faster and faster, deeper and deeper into the forest. A young panda boy was climbing trees. He noticed Tigress and climbed down a tree to talk to her. "Hi! I am four years old. My name is Po. What's yours?" The panda boy said. Tigress wiped her eyes. "I'm Tigress. I am three years old." Tigress said. "Cool name! Wanna play?" Po said. "OK." Tigress said. "Tag! You're it!" Po said. Tigress smiled an ran after the panda boy. "Po!! Come on time to go." A male goose said. "Okay Daddy!" Po said,then he looked at Tigress. "I gotta leave. Bye Tigress." Po said. "Bye Po! I hope to see you again." Tigress said. Po and the goose left. Tigress continued deeper into the forest, but she was walking now. A mountain side full of rocks stood in her way. Tigress started climbing, despite the weather. Thunder rumbled, and lightning struck the side of the mountain. 'I better hurry.' Tigress thought. Zane flew as fast as his wings would carry him. "Shifu! I see her! She's climbing the side of the small mountain, Rokinhe, or trying to." Zane said, flying down. Thunder rumbled and lightning flashed again. This time, the lightning struck the side of the mountain harder, causing a rock slide. Tigreess screamed, dodging rocks while climbing down. One rock hit Tigress in the chest, braking three ribs. Tigress cried out in pain and fell, some rocks covering her. "She got hit by a rock and it knocked her down!" Zane said. Master Shifu ran full speed to the rock slide. Using Kung Fu, Shifu blocked off the rest of the rocks. "Zane! Help me find her!" Shifu said. Shifu ran to where he last saw Tigress, and started digging. "Tigress?! Tigress!" Shifu said, hoping to hear her. Tigress cried harder. 'Now I'm definitely going to die.' Tigress thought. "M..m..master!" Tigress cried. Shifu used Kung Fu to knock the rocks that were covering Tigress off. "C'mon Tigress. Let's go." Shifu said, reaching his hand out to her. It started to rain harder. "I...I...I...can't." Tigress cried. "Why?" Shifu asked. "M..my chest..t h..h..hurts. I think I'm broken...." Tigress cried. "I am going to take you to Oogway." Shifu said, picking her up in his arms. "No!" Tigress cried, jumping out of his arms, and falling again. "You hate me...leave me alone." Tigress cried. "Tigress, I don't hate you. I said mean things, and I was a horrible father to you...please forgive me." Shifu said. Tigress still cried. "You hate me......" Tigress said. Shifu pulled Tigress into a hug. "I don't hate you... I love you so much I almost died when I saw you fall. You leave me horribly worried." Shifu said. Tigress wrapped her small arms around Shifu's neck. "I forgive you Master." Tigress said. "I am your father, so you can call me "Daddy" or "Dad" if you want." Shifu said. "I love you Daddy." Tigress said. Shifu smiled, then he picked Tigress up again. This time, Tigress don't struggle or jump, she snuggled into Shifu's hold, and fell asleep. And from that moment on, Shifu and Tigress grew that much closer.
