Vacation Feelings

Walking around, I drank my boba tea and looked at the different amenities to choose from. A weekend away from my mother was always luxurious, and at a resort no less! I heard foot steps behind me. They were attempting to be quiet but it obviously wasn't working.

"Hello Tamaki." I smile and stop in my tracks and turn to face him.

"How did you know it was me?" He pouted and I shrugged.

"Well based on your little conversation with the twins, something is up and since the twins always stick together it had to be you. Plus Haruhi, Ootori, and Mitskuni aren't up yet."

"Speaking of, why are you up so early? And dressed in such girly attire, I don't think I have seen you in anything other than black and white. Not including school uniform of course." We continued to walk and I smiled at him.

"Force of habit to wake up early and plus if we are staying at a resort, I wanted to take advantage of the possibilities. As for the clothing, my world is black and white when I am at home. Here I can add some color." I sipped my tea and saw a sign directing towards a botanical garden. I get excited and pull his arm towards the garden.

"Sorry, I'm just really happy at the moment." I look at the beautiful plants around us. "Out of curiosity, what is your relationship with Haruhi?"

"I'm a father figure for her, I can't have anything happen to her."

"Or is there something more Tamaki? The way you look at her with such admiration is captivating. I thought about drawing that admiration but I don't know if I can truly capture it." I glanced up to see him in a state of deep thinking.

"You noticed?"

"I'm sure everyone has but Haruhi seems a bit clueless at the moment. I think you two would be sweet together. Especially since she has complimenting personality traits with yours." I continued to walk admiring the flowers, when I turned to check if he was following he seemed to stand still. "Did I cross the line?"

"No. Excuse me." He left and I bit my lip. I'm sure I crossed the line. Leaves bristled as the twins jumped out behind me as they let out some yells. I turned and shook my head.

"If you were trying to scare me, you will have to do better than that."

"What are you scared of, would make it easier." Hikaru had a look of annoyance but I only smiled.

"Where is the fun in that? Plus how do you even know if I am afraid of anything at all." I turned and began to walk back. I needed to apologize to Tamaki for overstepping my boundaries. As I walked back to the main set of rooms I knocked on Tamaki's door to not receive an answer. When I stepped back I wandered down further before I heard a door open.

"Oh Niko, good morning." Haruhi smiled sleepily.

"Good morning sorry if I woke you."

"No you are fine, Tamaki came to wake me." Tamaki stepped out with a blush on his face and I smiled.

"Oh okay, maybe we should wake the others?"

"Yeah that isn't the best idea." I turned to see the twins almost fearfully shaking their heads.

"Why?"

"Kyoya and Honey are not morning people." I glanced back at Tamaki and he nervously bit his lip.

"I'm sure you guys are just messing with me but I will leave them alone then. Haruhi, want to join me to get massages?"

"I don't have enough to-"

"Nonsense, my treat. Plus you look like you might need it after swimming yesterday." I simply smiled to which she accepted.

The day was full of the twins trying to scare me. Tamaki had stopped trying after our discussion this morning. First it was getting trapped in a small room in the dark. I only waited for them to open the door to see their exasperated faces. Then they tried using the fire walk to scare me but I only rolled my eyes passing them by. Finally when the entire group went to the top of a lighthouse, Karou nudged me closer to the edge. That only resulted in me smiling down at the ground and looking around at the view.
