I sat down next to my brothers as the priest spoke about how my mother was finding peace. I was planning a small funeral but I invited the clients of the Hasegawa's which most of them showed up. I'm sure they wanted to know where their contracts stood. I stared at the empty casket, it was requested in my mothers will.
"And now, a speech from her next of kin Hasegawa Akita." He stated to which I stood and moved next to the casket. I turned to the crowd.
"Some of you knew my mother personally, then you knew she was a cold woman. She always wanted a large funeral, it showed importance to which she always believed she held the highest importance. I have invited you all here to announce that I will be continuing the contracts my mother has created between you all. As I am the next of kin, I shall uphold her duties as CEO. All of your contracts remain the same for the time being until they shall be renewed. A few contracts my mother has assigned for arrangements with me will be forfeited." I turned to the casket. "Rest in hell you evil bitch." I whispered and moved to sit down. I couldn't make a speech honoring her, she had nothing honorable to praise. The priest continued his prayers before ending the ceremony. I stood as well as my brothers, people made their way out giving their condolences to us. I saw Yoshio along with his wife and Kyoya step beside us.
"Mister and Misses Ootori, pleasure to see you once again." I smile and bow.
"If you don't mind I would like to speak to you privately, for business matters." Yoshio stated, I moved my gaze to my brothers who nodded at me.
"Shall we go outside?" He nodded and I moved behind him.
"I have been made aware of your romantic relation with Kyoya, I thought you mentioned it being a business partnership only?" His smirk said it all, he wanted to come across another arrangement.
"Yes, it was a strict business partnership. However things have changed." I thought back to a few days ago when he caught me before I left school.
"I was going to ask you this on your birthday, but missed my chance." He presented a purple rose and held it out to me. "Purple Roses signify royalty, and love at first sight. Normally I wouldn't believe in such silly practices but I have been fascinated by you since the day we met. I know our relationship is quiet but I want to ask you to be officially mine." I could only smile as I took the rose wrapping him in a hug. His chuckle rumbled through his body as he wrapped his arms around me.
"I must ask again, would you like an arrangement with him?" I smile softly.
"Mr. Ootori, I simply cannot define our relationship as an arrangement. If he wishes to propose to me, we can discuss a merger of companies. My brothers are the rightful heir to the Hasegawa name, I would like to keep it that way, but they need to reach adulthood before that can happen. I'm sure with the merging of our groups, you would agree to having my brothers take their rightful spot."
"Of course. Sorry for your loss. Kyoya mentioned he will be stopping by later tonight to check on you and your brothers." I smile a little.
"I think we should hold off making the relationship public until after I get everything ordered out." He nodded slightly understanding my terms.
"We will be taking our leave, I hope to come into contact with you to discuss contract changes." I bowed and bid the Ootori's goodbye. I instructed my brothers to follow me as we made out way to her gravestone. She requested to not be near my fathers grave. It was the least I could do to honor his life. I dismissed myself and found my way to my fathers grave.
"Now you may rest in peace Father. You have been avenged." I felt a tear roll down my cheek. I missed him greatly, but now he can rest. He doesn't have any other business left on Earth. I set down some flowers and made my way back to my brothers who sat by her gravestone. I stared at her name.
You got what you deserved mother.

I felt an arm hook under my legs, I opened my eyes seeing Kyoya smile down at me.
"Tani and Gomi said you passed out while working. Come on you should get some sleep." He carried me through the estate to my bedroom.
"What time is it?"
"Midnight. Your brothers were waiting for you to come out before heading to bed." I hummed pressing my face into his chest. "You denied my fathers offer again, do you not want this relationship to continue?"
"I want our relationship to be built off our care for each other. Not for business. If you decide to propose I want it to be purely because you are happy with me, not because thats what you are expected of. Who knows, maybe I will propose first. I'm extremely happy with you Kyo." I feel him set me down on the bed, I grabbed his arm pulling him in with me.
"I will be the one proposing, with your now busy schedule you may not have time to think it out."
"You are busy too, plus who said I don't already have a plan in mind?" His arms wrapped around me and I rested my forehead against his chest.
"I'm not running a entire company. I may be busy but nothing will compare to what you are doing. What about your plans to pursue Art or Chemistry?"
"I will hold off until my brothers are 18. Then I will pursue my dreams. What about you, still going for your father's business?" He chuckled and I soaked in the vibrations coming from his chest.
"No, I don't know what to do with my life yet."
"We can figure it out along the way." I smile up at him, he leant his head down slightly bringing his lips to mine.
"That reminds me, will you Niko be my date to the Holiday Ball?"
"I would be happy to, you know we will have to tell the rest of the club we are together." He groaned and I sat up and wrapped my legs around his waist, straddling him. "You know Ritsu mentioned something to me and it made me think."
"And what is that?" His hands rested on my thighs squeezing them slightly.
"Before I met you I didn't believe in pure luck or fate. I grew up thinking everything had a purpose. However, when I look at you and think about how we first met, maybe it was luck. I found your notebook in the classroom by chance. Anyone could have picked it up and used it against you. That lead to me meeting you, sure we have seen each other around but we never met until that moment. I guess I was lucky enough to have been given the chance to meet you."
"Believing in pure luck and fate is a construct of hope." He muttered and I shook my head.
"Then why is it that after we met you gave me hope to break out of my shell. Its not like I purposefully wanted to meet you." I smirk and giggled to myself. My eyes widened as he rolled us over until he was hovering me. A small gasp leaving my lips.
"So if you had the chance would you have left the notebook?" I shake my head and caress my fingertips along the side of his face.
"I believe that in every possible scenario, I would have picked it up to return it to you. At the time I did have my own notebook, I couldn't imagine losing that."
"You continuously amaze me Niko."
"I'm sure I can do more than amaze you." I smirked as he dipped down bringing his lips to mine once again.
