I'm so sorry I haven't updated in forever... I read some other Linzin Fanfic and liked it way better than mine... so I got a little depressed ab mine... but I'll finish posting it.
Tenzin stood stirring a pot of food, grinning from ear to ear. He found Lin's nervousness at being scantily dressed in his room hilarious and very attractive. Seeing her sit on his bed in a too-short robe, face flushed, and her leg bouncing nervously had brought a whole wave of new thoughts, and when she scooted away from him blushing, even more, he all but grabbed her and kissed the daylights out of her.
He had only been half-kidding about staying in there. Tenzin knew that this was not in Lin's character so he had to let her set the pace, but it was going to be hard if she was going to look as beautiful as she did every time she woke up.
They all ate dinner together happily, laughing, and telling stories. It was a very happy time for everyone. After dinner, Katara took Lin for another healing session, Lin had suffered a bit more from frostbite and had quite a bit more bruises, probably from going back to take the group down. Tenzin put the kids to bed then joined them.
Tenzin watched, intensely scouring the damage on the exposed parts of Lin's body. He noticed some marks along her neck and instantly began blushing. He hoped his mother hadn't noticed that they were from him. When they were done, Tenzin helped Lin out of the water with a towel, wrapping her up tightly. "Are you staying tonight?", he asked her quietly when they were in the hall, "I know Rohan would love it", he grinned down at her wet face and still dripping hair. She looked up at him innocently, "I have to go to work tomorrow", she whispered.
"Lin. You were just abducted and drugged four days ago, and you just got back yesterday. I don't think they'll let you back just yet. They are going to force you to take a medical leave.", Tenzin said a bit exasperated at her. She leaned against the wall thinking. Tenzin stood in front of her and put his hands on the wall on the sides of her.
She tipped her head up as he looked her in the eyes and he said in a whisper, "Lin I'm serious. You don't have to stay here, but you don't need to go back to work just yet. Please?" Lin nodded agreeing that he was probably right. Tenzin looked relief with her decision, then whispered, "Where do you want to stay? It's completely up to you." She drew in a ragged breath looking down again she said, "I'd rather not be alone.", Lin looked up at him shyly.
Tenzin grinned at how shy she was. This was not the usual tough, independent, "I'll punch you in the face" Beifong he was used to, this was a whole other side of her.
Lin seemed to realize what she said when Tenzin grinned and stammered trying to explain that her room was what she meant. Tenzin laughed. "Ok.", he whispered, then he kissed her, and then again, and then on the third time he picked her up.
Lin gasped, "Tenzin!", as he carried her down the hall kissing her neck the whole way down. When they reached Rohan's room, he reluctantly put her down, still clinging to her hand as she walked away until he couldn't reach her anymore. They both went to their beds, hearts racing.
