Life Goes On

Tease

Ok, I thought this chapter was so cute, I laughed a lot writing it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!!

The smell of dinner wafting in the room made Lin start stirring in bed. Then suddenly she felt someone climb into bed with her, she turned over and there was little Rohan getting cozy beside her. She wrapped her arms around him and drew him close to her chest, where he snuggled in tight. They both dozed off immediately in the familiar comfort of sleeping together. 

A couple minutes later a voice that was trying to whisper said, "Rohan you aren't supposed to be in here, and dad says it's time for dinner so come on!" Lin and Rohan both cracked their eyes open to see Meelo, who was genuinely trying to whisper but was failing miserably. Lin laughed out loud and grabbed Meelo pulling him onto the bed tickling him. The bed erupted in a tickle fight full of laughter. Then they all got up stretching and headed to dinner.

Lin tugged at the water tribe robe she was in, it was awkwardly short and came to her shins, she opened the robe a bit when she was alone and snapped it back shut quickly. She had nothing significant on underneath, so she kept a tight fist on the top half. As she walked into the kitchen, she saw Katara and Tenzin cooking away at dinner.

 She totally avoided Tenzin as she felt extremely embarrassed that she was barely clothed in front of him. He definitely noticed her avoiding him and his eyes trailed her across the kitchen, then he turned back to his food with a grin on his face. 

Lin went over to Katara and whispered, "Um where can I get a bit more clothes?" Katara giggled at her burning embarrassment, then turned to Tenzin and said, "Tenzin take Lin to your room and give her some of your clothes."

Lin smacked her hand on her face and turned scarlet red. Tenzin chuckled nervously, also blushing, but he motioned for her to follow him. Lin followed him reluctantly, refusing to look at Katara's mischievous smile.

 She sat down on his bed nervously fidgeting with the robe strings as Tenzin dug through the closet. She was so nervous that she jumped when she'd failed to notice him holding something up asking her something.

"I said will this tunic work?", Tenzin smiled devilishly at her nervousness. "Uh yah, sure that's fine.", Lin laughed nervously without even looking at what he was holding up. He sat down next to her and said, "Lin are you alright?", still grinning at her. 

She scooted away from him refusing to look him in the eyes and said, "Mmmhmmm." Tenzin's laugh rang out and he scooted close to her again, then he asked wickedly, "Linnnnn do I make you nervous", feigning innocence. 

She swatted him away, blushing even more, "Oh go away and let me change!", she said her heart racing, and a grin spreading on her face. She started pushing him out the door, and as he fought it, he said, "Are you sure I can't stay?", he said giggling as she kicked him out and shut the door.

Lin's heart was racing so fast she was afraid it would burst out of her chest. It felt just like when they were in their 20's teasing each other and being in love. Lin quickly changed into what she now realized was the old dress she used to leave with Tenzin so she could change after work and they could just go from his house. She teared up thinking about how he had kept it all these years. It was a dark blue tunic that was loose and airy, it still fit perfectly.

 Lin smoothed it down, fixed her hair in the mirror and walked back into the kitchen to help set out dinner.
