Parting Ways

Tenzin woke up to Lin on top of him, her legs and arm wrapped around his body tightly. Her head was tucked into his neck as always, and he thought he felt a little drool on his collar bone. He stifled a laugh at the way she slept and how cute it was.

Lin woke up uncurling her body from Tenzin's and stretching on top of him. She noticed that she had drooled and quickly wiped it from her mouth and his collar bone hoping he wouldn't wake up and notice. She looked up at his face and turned red as she found his cool blue eyes already witnessing her dirty deeds. She giggled vibrating both their bodies. She rolled off of him laughing and saying, "Sorry! I'm used to having the bed to myself, and you were warm, so I took advantage of the situation. It's not my fault I slept so good and drooled, it's your fault!" She looked at him flirtatiously giggling at him, as he laughed back smiling widely at the warm giddy woman he now called his fiance.

She hopped out of bed going to find her police uniform to get ready for work. Tenzin groaned loudly, "Linnnnnnn come back." He grabbed hold of the sleeping shirt she was in, trying to stop her. As he grabbed it, it slipped far down her shoulder. Tenzin leaped up and grabbed her as she continued to try to leave giggling at him. "Tenzin! I can't be lateeee!", she said trying to push his arms off her waist. He released her and looked sadly at her, and dramatically fell back onto the bed and closing his eyes saying, "My own fiancé leaves me bright and early after a night together...I must snore." He cracked one eye open to see if she was looking at him.

Lin couldn't help but laugh at this dramatic display, so she leaped back on top of him dramatically. She kissed him, then gently slapped his face saying, "Enough you big baby." She smiled wickedly at him and then left to get dressed.

 She changed and fixed her hair, not being able to stop smiling at the word "fiancé" swirling around in her head. She walked out to Tenzin sitting wrapped up in blankets waiting for her to come back and smiling stupidly when she came back into his view. She smiled at him and began picking up the clothes they had thrown all over her room. He got up and dressed then began helping her straighten up. Then they made the bed together. 

Lin left to make some tea and stared out the dark window as the pot boiled. It was 5 am and she had a long day ahead of her, but she did not regret one thing about her night. She couldn't fight her smile anymore and it broke out on her face as she thought about her night, scenes replaying in her head. 

She felt two large arms begin to encircle her breaking her from her trance. She turned around and hugged him tightly, burying her face in his robes and breathing his scent in deeply, mentally preparing to leave his arms.

 Tenzin hugged her back tightly lifting her off the ground a bit and kissing her temple.  He put her down and buried his face in her neck and began kissing her. Lin giggled and tried to break free as the pot of water began squealing. She walked over and poured two mugs of tea. They sat on her couch snuggled up to each other sipping their tea. 

When they were done Lin looked at the clock and started to go get her metal uniform. Tenzin quickly grabbed her and groaned, "Don't leave me..." he began kissing her neck.  "Tenzin I can't be late and show up to work with hickeys!!!", Lin laughed and pushed him away.

 She sobered and said, "I don't want to leave either, but I'll come over for dinner if you want." She smiled sadly at him.

Tenzin kissed her quickly and said, "I'll be waiting for you." Then he released her to get dressed. She quickly bended her uniform on. He opened the door for her and they walked out together.

 "I love you baby.", Tenzin said as they reluctantly parted to go their separate ways. Lin quietly said, "Love you too.", as she began walking into the bustling city with a smile twitching at her lips.
