The man laughed again and started to leave them to their icy prison. Lin shouted, "Well get on with it coward! Get in here and kill us already wimp!", Lin's anger grew with every word she spat, " Because if you don't get it over with I will make sure you regret the day you ever laid a hand on me!!!"
Tenzin turned to her and said, "Lin what are you doing?"
She responded coldly, "Well if he is just going to kill us, he might as well get on with it. Either he kills us, or I make him pay." Tenzin looked visibly shocked at Lin sudden death wish, he locked eyes with her and searched her eyes, deeply concerned. The man interrupted their intense eye contact by laughing and saying, "Patience Beifong, I want to kill you as much as you want to be killed but it doesn't make a statement without an audience."
He chuckled maniacally and slammed the door sending snow and icicles raining down on them. Lin plopped down seething dejectedly, snow littering her already messy hair. Tenzin sat next to her waiting for her to talk first, he knew right now she was on an emotional roller coaster and they were all waiting to explode out of her.
Lin felt every emotion course through her about three times each as she sat there quietly with Tenzin. Rage, fear, confusion, sadness, hurt, and bitterness. It all was a bit overwhelming, she almost thought it might have been better to die right then, rather than sit here and stew in front of Tenzin. He had seen her like this before but that didn't make her any happier with it.
Not to mention the emotional rollercoaster of him holding her and groaning when she left him. How was she supposed to handle that? This same man had wooed her once before successfully only to smash her heart even more than it already was, and now here he was picking up the pieces of her heart. Lin felt so conflicted and overwhelmed. Finally, she looked up at Tenzin sadly saying, "What now?"

Lin looked up into his eyes and almost whimpered, "What now?", Tenzin's heart broke into a million pieces for her. She had so much turmoil swirling around in her head and heart and he knew he was the cause of a lot of it. So, he lovingly said, "Well you can lay it all out for me, tell me everything going on in your head and we will see if we can sort it out, and I do mean everything. Then we will try and think of an escape plan." She looked back to her bare feet, looking like she was debating whether or not she was going to open up to him.
