After we finally rid ourselves of the annoying mortals, I shadow us to the one person who I know can tell us where all the entrances to the Underworld are at.
Walking over to the Doors of Death, Mors and I have each other respective bows. “How are you today, Ms. Mel?”

“Good. We actually need your help trying to find dad. Would you be able to tell us where all the entrances to the Underworld through the mortal realm currently are?”

“Why would you need to know? Can’t you just shadow everywhere?”

“Yes, but we believe dad’s near one of the entrances in the mortal realm. How many are there?”

“There are currently only two entrenched from the mortal realm. One is in Caister, England, and the other is in Vivian, South Dakota. But they both close at eight p.m. on Wednesday, so you better hurry.”
Lara looked at me. “That’s in two days.”

I smiled. “Yep. One a day. Where do you wanna go first?”
She didn’t even think. “Vivian.”
Laraline took the lead.  She shadowed us to a small town, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. We walked around the town for about three hours looking for something suspiciously… Underworldly, but we came up with nothing. Eventually, Lara suggested we stop to get something to eat.

I sighed. “You’re right.” I looked around until I saw a little restaurant called Hutch’s Cafe & Lounge. “That one.”

We walked into the cafe and sat down. A short, orangish red-haired girl, around seventeen, walked up to us.

“Hi. I’m Via. I’ll be your waitress for today. May I take your order?”

I studied her for a moment, sensing she was a demigod. “Yeah. I’ll have the fruit bowl and a sweet tea.” After Lara placed her order, I looked at the girl.

“Can we talk to you privately later, Veridian?” She looked taken aback at me calling her by her full name. “And Victoria, too? I saw her earlier.”

“Sure,” she replied, cautiously. “Meet me out back in half-an-hour on our break.”

I turn to look at my companion. She looked at me. “Do you think Via and Tori would know where dad’s at?”

“No, but I think they will help us find the entrance to the Underworld, and I think they may know even more than they think.”

She nodded. After eating our brunch, we went to the back of the restaurant to find Veridian and Victoria standing there, looking slightly nervous, and very much on guard. “What do you want?” Victoria asked us, putting on her tough face.

“There’s an entrance to the Underworld somewhere in this town, and we need to find it. Any clue where it would be?” I asked them.
They looked at each other before shaking their heads. “Nope.”

“Well then,” Laraline jumped in.

“Have you seen Hades around here recently?” Veridian shook her head. Lara stared at her. “Seashell. You better answer our question.”

Veridian looked stunned as she took a closer look at Lara. “Oh! Laraline! I didn’t recognise you. Yeah, Hades was in the cafe last night with some black figure. I assumed he was covered in shadows, because I couldn't see him very well, but now that I think about it, it seemed more than that. When I came back with their orders, they had just disappeared.”

“Where were they sitting?”

“Back corner, two booths down from where you were sitting.”
Lara and I looked at each other.
