36: Y/N takes a break from murdering and spends time with Kazuma

Apologies for the long distance of time between chapters, schools been kinda oof so I haven't had much time to write. Also thanks for the 100K reads and the 400 followers peeps, I'm planning on writing a 100K special chapter later on so look forward to that lol.

"Okay so how many sinners do we have so far?" Y/N asked Kazuma.

"Hmmm so we killed that fly thingy, the monkey, the dude under water, and uhhhh the dullahan from way back when leaving us at four."

Y/N groaned and sighed. "So we've got like, 32 sinners left to kill . . . This is gonna take some time, especially if what I think happened did happen."

"What do ya think happened?"

"The demon king got a stand." Y/N stated while sipping tea on the wagon.

Kazuma spat out his tea. "WHAT-"

"I mean it only makes sense, I suspect that Enya probably helped him develop his own stand or something of the sort. I'm probably one of the biggest threats to him so it'd only make sense he have a stand as well to combat me with."

" . . . We're absolutely fucked . . . Well, except for you probably." Kazuma said depressed.

"Don't worry, if he got a stand it means one of two things. Either something similar to the stand arrows has appeared and that helped him, or it is something like my being here and the existence of stand users doing some weird stand bullshit and now he has a stand. Either that or someone's stand gives others stands . . . " Y/N said while shrugging. "Stand's are mostly bullshit when you think about it, I mean mine can stop time for 10 seconds and let me tell you, you can do quite a lot in ten seconds."

"Like wha-pFfFT-" Kazuma began, his mouth suddenly being filled by hay which had been in the cart.

"Like that." Y/N said grinning.

Kazuma quickly spat out the hay, going to punch Y/N when suddenly he punched his own face.

"And that."

Kazuma nearly fell off of the cart, and he pulled himself up quickly. "ow-" He said while rubbing his nose.

"Apologies, Kazuma. I often mess with you with my time stopping abilities while you cannot do anything because of your weakness." Y/N said, thinking this was an adequate apology to Kazuma.

'Jesus even this guy's apologies are full of pride . . . This dude is literally oozing hubris . . .' Kazuma thought to himself as he stretched a little. He wondered when this crazy ride was gonna be over, and thought about the possibilities that could have come from different choices. He thought about if he hadn't gone with Y/N, and thought that he would most likely be pretty bored and honestly . . . Y/N was pretty much a free-ticket to getting what he wanted. That one wish thingy that the gods had said they would grant him if he defeated the demon lord. 

"You seem to be thinking a lot there, Kazuma." Y/N noted, watching around them while putting his legs up.

Kazuma nodded. "I was thinking about if I didn't go with your prideful-ass-"

"I see . . . "

" . . . And how boring it would probably be." Kazuma continued

"Well obviously, it wouldn't be the same living without basking in my presence of course." Y/N said pridefully while grinning.
