With all my strength, I pull back and send the dagger in the bullseye. I smile at the perfect shot and go for another dagger.

Dan's right. I spend way too much time down here, but who will defend him in the end when he gets in trouble? Me. As always.

So I take the dagger and throw it in the air; only to catch it perfectly by it's handle. Well, at least I'm not the only one down here all the time.

Emms walks in and gives me a firm nod as she passes through. I return her nod and watch her as she shuts herself in that Rublex Room like Dan calls it now. I wonder what she does in there all the time....

I shrug this thought off and look back at the bullseye. I suppose I could use company. My heart carries this fire within me from the loneliness. There's something missing. I just know it.

As I throw the dagger, the sound of footsteps coming near distracts me and messes up my aim. I frown at the dagger sticking out just beside the bullseye. So I turn angrily at whomever has interrupted me and stop myself from glaring when I see Nikki smile at me. She teasingly nods at me and crosses her arms over her chest.

"Not so bad for your first time."

"It's not my first time," I say. I take another dagger and shoot without taking aim. I smile proudly at her when I see that it is at the bullseye. "See?"

"I see," she says. "What about other things? Or is daggers the only thing your good at handling?"

I do a chuckle and walk up to her. I give her a fiery smirk as I run my finger down her arm. "Among other things...." This makes her roll her eyes at me, but I can see that shine in those big blue eyes that sets my heart to pace.

Yet, she walks past me to where the display of weapons are. She touches each dagger and knife carefully until her hands land on an arrow. A certain admiration runs through her eyes as she picks it up and a bow appears right next to it.

"I like this one. Have you tried this?"

"It hasn't grabbed my attention," I say as I stand by her.

She shrugs at my comment and gracefully puts her hands in the position they're supposed to be for this weapon. She raises up the weapon and squints her eyes to take aim. When she let's go, the arrow hits a perfect bullseye. I give her a surprised look and she smirks at me.

"I guess some people are just natural at some things."

She starts to leave and I quickly say, "Hey. Wait!" She stops and turns around. "Where are you going?" I don't even know why I'm asking this. I guess this loneliness is really getting the best of me. Or I just want the taste of her lips again....

"I'm going to the Rublex so I can get in some more lessons on emergency situations. Just in case you do something stupid and hurt yourself."

I chuckle at this and say, "As long as I get you as my nurse, I'll be fine." She clears her throat and starts to walk away. But once again, my heart makes me jump. "Wait! You can't go in there. Emms is training right now."

"Oh."

A hint of disappointment runs through her eyes, but she stays put. Unease and awkwardness starts in her stance, but her bright eyes land on me. For some reason, I understand that shine telling me to do something. Deep down, she doesn't want to leave me.

I don't want her to leave either.

So I gesture at the bow and arrow she left on the table and say, "Why don't you teach me some of that stuff? I guess I could use some lessons."

I can see that she's hesitate to come near me, but she pushes this aside and says, "Well. You just have to get comfortable with the stance. That's all."
