Luthenberg got in.

How? We were so hidden. We even checked the systems twice here at my place and at the lab. What went wrong?

Who spoke up?

The Supremacy has never been as anxious as it is now. Every soldier among the walls come out ready to fight whomever has entered.

We tried distracting them, but the damage was too great. The truth has hurt us all.

Now my only thought is Kat as they push us into the bunker. They hide us behind the wall without any excuses. My sister and I fight with the guard bringing us to our room, but nothing works. Nothing will ever work again.

"You have to let us out!" my sister yells to the guard. He only stands by the entrance with a firm face.

She starts towards him with angry fists but I stop her. "Adeline! Enough!"

"No! Our friends! Sam!"

"We're going to call—"

I stop when I remember that the guard is still there. So I take her deeper in our room and press on the symbol at one part of the wall. It recognizes my thumb and it opens to my room. I guide her in and let the wall behind us close.

"We need to call Alexander! We need to get to the comms! I can't hear a single word!"

I watch my sister frantically take off her earpiece and put it back in. She calls out to anyone but no one answers.

Kat. Nikki. Dan. God I hope they're okay. I hope they had time to escape.

I wish we could have known before.

The wall behind me opens, but I don't see who's entered as Adeline and I finally hear Alexander's voice.

"Alexander!" I say. "Where's everyone? Are they all okay?"

I can hear panting and a lot of noise in the background. "Some of them have come back."

"Where's Sam?" Adeline says but he ignores her.

"Some are hurt. Gabriel. What happened? Why is all of this happening? Who got in?!"

"We don't know," I say. "I don't know..."

Sadness falls on our shoulders as we hear more painful grunts in the background. My sister and I exchange looks.

We should be there. Like always, the presidential family doesn't have a single scratch while they suffer.

I feel disgusted with myself and turn around only to see my father there. My blood falls to my feet and I freeze.

But my father ignores me as he walks towards Adeline who's pacing the room. I watch with confusion the way my father takes her shoulders and frantically says, "Gen! Where is she?! Is she okay?!"

He starts to speak in Spanish as thick beads of sweat run down his temple. "Where is she?!"

"I-I don't know! You should have kept an eye on her!" Adeline responds back with anger. I watch the way she speaks to him. The way she tells him that his job was to watch over Gen while we were with our friends.

It's like watching two siblings arguing...

But I shake myself out of my shock and angrily say, "What is going on?!"

They both turn to me and I fight back the angry fire making my hands into fists. My father does a tired sigh as he says, "I'm sorry—"

"Is that all you have to say?" I angrily say.
