~REALITY + CALL~

-Alissa's POV- PRESENT DAY-

I hear a knock at the door, and I sigh "You know the rules try get in and I'll punch you in the face." I say and I hear laughing coming from the other side of the door. "As much as I'd love to watch myself getting beaten up I'd rather not." Olivia begins to say, "Anyways, I have chocolate for you but i'm not supposed to be feeding you so this is our little secret." My face lights up when she slides a massive milk chocolate bar. "You really stick to your word. Thank you Olivia." I thank her and she giggles. "Since this door doesn't seem to be opening any time soon, I'll call you when I get home, K?" She asks. "Of course. Bye Liv, thanks again." I say and I hear footsteps getting quieter.

As much as I want to eat all of this at once, I have to ration it. I open my side table drawer and stick the bar on top of my notebook, I then get an idea.
Jaden, Griffin and Josh all said I had a good voice, maybe I should use it.
I pick up my yellow and white stiped notebook and opened it onto a clean page, grabbed a pen, and began to write what came to my head. I wrote down the first lyrics. 'Maybe you don't like talking to much about yourself. But you should've told me that you were thinking 'bout someone else.' The rest of the verse seems to flow into place.

I've always loved writing and I've always been pretty good at it too, so now I can use it to make music.

-Olivia's POV- WHEN SHE GETS HOME-

As soon as I collapse on my bed I find Alissa's contacts and call her and she picks up.

"Hey honey, how you feeling?"

"Depends who you're asking. And both way would be awful."

"What even happened to my smiley cheerful Alissa?"

"Boys. Jaden to be specific."

"I KNEW IT! I knew you two were meant to be. The way he looked at you."

"Yeah not now anyway. What happened with Kio though?"

"Oh, we are fine he was really busy and we took a break but we are back again."

"That's great. Talking about stupid boys, I've written a song about Jaden."

"Oo, I didn't know you could sing- I bet it'll be great."

"If I get out of this room maybe I can sing a demo and I'll show you."

"Are you going to keep it to yourself or share it?

"Depends how good it is."

"I bet it'll be amazing I'd love to talk to you for the rest of our lives but Kio is here and I need to actually talk to him."

"Yeah that's pretty important." Alissa laughs through the phone.

"Catch you later then babes?"

"How could I possible not?" I then hang up.

"Who was that?" Kio asks coming into my bedroom. "Alissa, just trying to cheer her up." I respond and he nods.
"Have you worked out what is wrong?" He asks and I give him a sheepish smile. "Maybe. But never to be revealed." I say putting my finger over my lips and he laughs piling on top of me and we both laugh together, untangled in legs and arms.

-Alissa's POV- PRESENT DAY-

I've pretty much finished the lyrics, just making some last minute changes and humming the melody in my head while I write.
That's when I hear a knock, can't I be left alone for a few hours? Clearly not. "What do you people want?" I ask with an annoyed tone clear in my voice.
"We are going out for lunch, come down please?" Griffin says through the door and I smile staring down at the untouched chocolate bar. "I'm good, I've got lunch sorted." I respond and I hear a long sigh. "Suit yourself." Griffin says and I hear footsteps.
I open the chocolate wrapper and stare at it for suspence. I take a bite and the soothing feels like heaven on my tongue. I take a few more bites before setting the bar back down and folding the wrapper back up, back to world war 2 again I see.

I pick up my notebook and start quietly singing the lyrics drumming my hands softly on the table as a melody.
It's not loud enough for anyone to hear, luckily, other then maybe from Jaden's room but he'll be at lunch.

My phone lights up.

-Jaden's POV- PRESENT DAY-

I didn't feel like going for lunch so I sulked on my bed scrolling through tiktok until I find a tiktok of me and Alissa and me trying to teach her to do a dance, it didn't work out very well, I smile as she tries to do the dance but it ends up being a complete mess and we fall on the couch together laughing, I remember that so well yet it hurts so much.

I can almost still hear her beautiful voice, wait- that is her voice? 

I stick my ear up to the wall dividing our rooms and hear her voice, it really is amazing. I don't recognize the song but she's singing it perfectly.
I stare back down at the tiktok on my phone and I smile, god I love her.
Me and Mads got toxic again and I told her to get out and with a bit of forcing she was gone. I know I love Mads and I always will. But Alissa....I'm IN love with her.
I want to spend the rest of my life with her but I fucked up, and now I've lost her. But I'll never stop trying.
I'll be 60 and still trying. Until I'm in my grave I will keep trying, because I will never give up on her, never.

-Alissa's POV- PRESENT DAY-

I'm so angry at him and no matter how many texts he sends me I can never forgive him for what he did to me, and maybe I should get out this room so I can record this song already.
I grab my chocolate bar and snack at it as I unlock the door and turn the golden handle and walk out, actual outside world, wow I forgot this existed.

yikes, this is a crazy chapter. If you didn't realize she is writing a song well it's already been wrote but it's 'you broke me first by Tate McRae' and I'M OBSESSED WITH THIS SONG!
I may or may not have played this on repeat for the last 5 weeks AND IT'S AMAZING.
I'm kinda listening it to it right now lol 'BUT YOU MOVED ON QUICKER THEN I COULD'VE EVER YOU KNOW THAT HURT' yes I just sung that out really loud.
My parents are used to it but I feel bad for my brother his room is DIRECTLY next to me and our walls are really thin so I can here him swearing after losing fifa and he can hear me belt this song, great right?
