I get a text from Griffin that he will be at the apartment in 20 minutes, I dance around a little before launching myself out of bed and running to the bathroom. I brush my teeth and take out my braids I had on last night so my hair was a little frizzy.
I did want to look nice when I go meet everybody so I search my wardrobe for something that has actually been washed I find a white shirt and some jeans so I just go with that.

For some reason I wasn't that hungry so I skipped breakfast and instead went to my room. I started packing my clock and some stationary, I decide to leave all my furniture and just buy some when I get there. Half of it was too kiddy for me anyway. I then see a picture of me Griffin and dad a few years ago. My mom was never in the picture (ha get it) she left when I was very young and now dad's dead because of a car accident. I guess I was so excited I forgot this is only happening because he passed. I try to hold back tears but when you lose a loved one the only thing you can do is cry, I placed the frame in a cardboard box marked fragile
I wiped away the tears however, and finished packing everything, I searched one last time around the apartment to make sure I haven't forgotten anything, which I haven't. I then stacked all the boxes near the door and jump on the couch, it was still about 5 minutes until he will arrive so I pull out my phone and message my best friend, Grace.

I then put my phone in my back pocket and race to the door. I take a deep breath before opening, griffin is then standing there with a huge smile on his face and a boy I don't recognize behind him, on his phone.
"Hey Griffin." I say hugging him it feels like I haven't seem him in years, "You and guy I don't know can come in." I say opening the door wider. "Oh i'm Josh." he says looking up from his phone and holding out a hand for me to shake, "Hi Josh, I'm Alissa, come in." I say shaking his hand. "So, your the sister I hear about huh?" Josh says sitting on the couch, "Well unless there is another sister I don't know about then yup that's me." I say and he laughs. Griffin then pulls me aside and asks, "How you holding up sis?" and I reply with, "I'm doing ok are you good though? You seems off." and he tells me, "I'm holding up, I have a reason to be off at least, anyway we better get the boxes in the car!" he says raising his voice so Josh can hear.
