TW: kissing, nightmares/night terrors

Esme's POV

"Kiss you? Really?" - Esme

"Yes really. Now come on, let's practice." - Haymitch

"I don't think I need practice to kiss someone." - Esme

"Alright then sweetheart." - Haymitch

We both stand up straight in the red light room. Haymitch was slightly taller than me but I was still tall enough to reach his lips. We look at each other and slowly move in as he snake his arms around my waist as I slid mine around his neck.

Our lips connect and fireworks explode in my stomach. I pull myself closer as we continued to kiss. He licked his tongue against my bottom lip, begging for an entrance. I grant it as our tongues battle for dominance. His won.

Time Skip - arrival

We have reached the capitol, as we existed the train we saw the public cheering for us at the station. I could see a camera filming, I nudge haymitch and signal him to face the camera. He slides his arm around my waist. I smile at the camera and wave, hopefully Abigail and Daniel can see this.

The citizens of the capitol are quite weird. They all had brightly coloured clothes, hair and makeup with a unique style in fashion. I have never seen anything like it. As we walked through the guard I see people grinning and taking pictures of me and haymitch. Probably because we are the new love interest for this years games.

Time Skip - apartment

We reached to our new 'home' until the games. It was a beautiful and extremely large apartment overviewing the city. Each room is perfected to a tea drop. I loved it here, so would Abigail and Daniel. As I tried to get a feel of my new room, haymitch stood in the door way smiling at me.

"What do you think? It's not home but it's alright." - Haymitch

"It's okay..." - Esme

"Something is on your mind, what is it?" - Haymitch

"I have nightmares frequently, and Abigail usually helps me through them, but she isn't here now." - Esme

"I'll stay here tonight, if you prefer." - Haymitch

I smile and nods as we both climb into bed our backs turned against each other.
