Esme's POV

Me and haymitch get awoken by a high pitched gasp coming from Farren as she sees us sharing a bed. We both open our eyes and see us both snuggled into each other, I push myself from him and grow red. Haymitch just chuckles. We part ways and get dressed for the day, today was our tribute to the public.

I join haymitch and Farren and another man for breakfast. I presumed he was a costume designer, as he had sketches in his hand. We get introduced to him as Octavius. He was dark with pale blonde hair and bold green eyes.

"Today is the tributes introduction. This is as important as any other day. An impression must be made, for sponsors. To make you look powerful and for people to have faith in you." - Octavius

"And clothes are meant to help?" - Esme

"Clothes are like thoughts, they get imprinted into people's minds." - Octavius

"Okay so what are we working with." - Haymitch

"So I'm thinking for the theme...fire. Bold, brave and courage. Aspects needed for the games." - Octavius

He places to sketches out in front of us, a suit for haymitch and a dress for me.

"Haymitch; I'm thinking a red and black tail coat and waist coat. Red decorations on your boots and tail coat. Army trousers and boots to show you are willing to fight proudly for your district." - Octavius

Haymitch takes the sketch to study it. He looks impressed with it. I have to admit, he would look so handsome in it. Wait what am I thinking!? I can't like him, we're pretending to win. That's all. But is it?

"Esme; I'm thinking feathers, wings, fire and flowers. We need a new capitol darling, you can fit that role. The feathers and petals will flow from your back like wings to the front of the dress. And I cream under dress with fine decoration." - Octavius

I take my sketch and gaze at it. It was beautiful, nothing like anything I've seen before. It reminds me of a Phoenix. But with the petals it gives it a perfect balance of fierce and purity.
