Chapter 20: A Gender Reveal: Boy or Girl?

Rory's POV:

We arrived back home three days ago. We went to my doctor the day after we returned to Hartford. The sonographer said they may be able to tell us the sex of the baby since I am eighteen weeks now. We are so close to the halfway point.

So, the guys waited for the call that they could in fact tell us the gender. Which was in a sealed envelope. They planned a gender reveal party that is today in just a few hours actually.  Once we called them Finn and the boys started making calls. They can't wait to find out the gender, they are acting like kids in a candy store. 

Loan and I had an amazing honeymoon. He was absolutely amazing, romantic, and so sweet. He has carried me over every threshold since we got married. I can't believe we are almost five months along and baby Huntzberger will be making their grand entrance in a few months. 

He has cooked all the meals, rubbed my, legs, feet, and back. He has literally done everything for me. We take nightly soaks in our giant tub. He has stopped drinking alcohol and regular coffee since I can't have any. He said we are in this together.

The guys and Logan have decorated our home for the gender reveal. We are throwing the actual baby shower in Stars Hollow since everybody wanted to attend. They are doing it at The Town Square.

Everybody started arriving. Sookie had been cooking all day. Logan tried to pay her and she kept refusing to take the money. Logan walked over and placed the envelope inside her purse with five hundred dollars inside sealed.

Sookie made a huge cake it had pink and blue frosting on the layers with black umbrellas all over it. We have like fifty people at our house. Some co-workers of Logan's, Miss Patty, and Babette came from Stars Hollow, all of our families, and all of our friends are here. I am nervous yet excited to actually find out what we are having.

Lorelai's POV:

"So, how is married life, kid? You and Mr. Sexy there really need some space. You two are even more attached than before you got married. Almost like you are attached at the hip. Like a magnet pulling you two together." 

"I mean it is truly a miracle when I can talk to you alone. Even when he is away from you he watches you so possessively. Would you tell me if there was an issue?"        

"Mom, married life is amazing, our sex life is amazing, sorry but it's the truth," she replied at the scrunched face Lorelai made. Yes, we don't like to be apart from one another, but that is just because he is very protective. He is admiring me, mom, not possessing me."

"I am his wife, not his property. Yes, if there was a problem which there is not I would tell you. He is amazing, and I am really, truly happy."

"Alright kid, just wanted to make sure everything was going good. You do look happy as does Logan, therefore I am happy for you both of you."

Logan walked back over to his wife. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her on the cheek. "Hey baby, hey Lorelai. How are you? Are you ready to find out what your grandbaby is?"

"I am very good, Logan. Yes, I am. I was just telling Rory that you two seem are like siamese twins attached at the hip."

He chuckled, 'You are funny, Lorelai. I am just being attentive toward my wife. I mean I could be a bad husband and leave her all by herself the entire party. Actually, that's a lie I couldn't because I can't stand to be away from her. I love your daughter Lorelai. I am not even sure how I am going to be able to work eight hours a day away from her. That is way too long to be away from the love of my life."

"Alright, kid damn, you two have it bad. I am glad you love my daughter. I am glad she found true love."

Finn interrupted their conversation. "Alright, if we can get everyone to the backyard. It is time to find out what love is carrying. Mommy and Daddy front and center, please."
