A Life and Death Love

Chapter 21: Special Birthday

Logan's POV:

We have been married for a little over five months. My wife is growing every day and every day she looks even more beautiful. She is only one week away from her due date.  

So, we are expecting our son very soon. Between the end of May and the first of June. 

I started working from home once she only had a month left. I wanted to be sure I was here when it happens. 

Robert, Colin, and Finn have refused to leave since the baby shower. Emily is staying at our home in Stars Hollow, so she is here when Elias is born. 

We haven't been to Stars Hollow or New York in over a month because I didn't want her away from the hospital she plans to deliver him at. I worry because we live twenty-five minutes away from the hospital.

We have our bags packed and everything that will be needed when he comes into this world. The car seat is in the Navigator ready to go. 

When she goes into labor Finn is going to drive us in our Navigator, so I can sit with her in the back seat. Then Robert and Colin will follow us in their Navigator. We all have Navigators now.

She still has her Prius and I still have my Porsche but the Navigators are our cars to drive with the baby. I am going to buy her a Mercedes or a BMW just for her to drive when she doesn't have Elias. So a mom car and a sports car when she wants to still feel young and cool. He smiled as he imagined her driving either of those Sportscars. His thoughts were interrupted when Robert came in. 

"Hey man, I am going to run to Luke's and get mother some food. She is craving Luke's and whatever mother wants mother gets." He had a huge grin on his face.  

"She has every one of us wrapped around her finger, even you, Robert. You make at least three trips a week to Stars Hollow for her food. I am so glad you guys love my wife as much as I do, and because of that, I know her and all our children will always be taken care of."

"Yes, she does have us wrapped around her finger, and we are all perfectly okay with that. Yes, we love her she is family. I was really hoping you would have dropped her all those years ago. If you have I would have stepped up as would the other guys. She could have been the one to change me or us and made us want to settle down as she did you. Now, I am not in love with her but I do love her very much." Robert stated as he smiled.

"I know Robert, and I am so glad to hear that because that means I will never have to worry about her and our children being taken care of should anything ever happen to me."

I walked out with Robert to the living room and check on my Ace. She was sitting on the couch with her back propped up on pillows and her feet were in Finn's lap. He was rubbing her feet. 

I could see he had already made her soak her feet. Her feet and ankles have been really swollen over the last six weeks. 

They both were intrigued by the movie they were watching. I am so glad she is so loved by each of them. They have really been so much help while I am stuck working. 

Mitchum retired a couple of months after the wedding. He has been taking all the trips to New York for the last four weeks. Since I refused to leave her and she can't travel that far right now. 

I see Colin is in the kitchen making Rory some chocolate fondue with marshmallows. Which is her favorite. These guys really do love her. I stand there and just smile admiring my family. My wife and these guys. 

"Hey Ace, I see you are getting the royal treatment from the guys." 

"Yep, they are taking really good care of me. How is work going, babe?"
