Caught in the Act

Melody POV

"Why?" I asked Levi who was scratching the back of his head and lookin down at the ground.

"Your grandmother saw you two leave and demanded I follow you." He explained, That is most likely true but I'm sure he didn't turn her down or try to.

"Well I told you not to so you should have told her no. It doesn't matter now though we are going home. Aunt Bri are you ready?" I asked her. She was currently looking at her phone so I had to call her again.

"Huh oh actually I have some business to finish here in the city. So Levi could take you home. I'll come by once I'm done so we can talk more. In the meantime get your business in order ." She confuses me, what business?

"What business."

"If you want to sell or run your fathers business. No matter which option you choose you have to get everything handled. Also you have to talk to your fathers lawyer about his will and his accountant regarding what was being paid on. So there is a lot to do and if you want to follow through with the plan all of that needs to be settled first." She said before giving me a hug and walking off.

She was right, before I jump into anything I need to get my affairs in order.

I didn't even think of the will but most likely my parents left me everything.

"Did she just touch you?" Levi asked confused by are parting.

"Yes. "

"I thought you hated when people touched you." He said starting to walk in the direction of the car to which I followed.

"I never said that, I hate the feeling I get when someone touches me." I let him know because there is a difference.

"So why was she able to hug you." He seemed upset, I think, I didn't understand why he would be though. Well that is until my conversation with my aunt popped up in my head.

'Well it's obvious he likes you. I don't know how deep it is but he does'

That gave me such an awkward feeling.

"When she touches me I don't get the same feeling as with everybody else. I feel comfort when she does it."  I said trying to ignore my thoughts about him liking me.

"So what do you feel when I touch you?" He grabbed my hand and when I tried snatch it away but he kept a grip on it.

That prickly feeling went up my hand and made me feel extremely uncomfortable and kind of panicky.

"Let me go Levi" I shouted at him when I tried to tug my hand away for a second time.

He let go and continued to walk ahead. I really wasn't appreciating how he was acting, it was all unnecessary.

I sped up to him and quietly continued to walk with him. Once we reached the car I slid into the back while Levi went to the driving seat.

It was about 30 minutes into the ride when I decided to confront Levi .

"Levi do you like me?" I questioned staring at him waiting for and answer. He looked at me through the rear view mirror before turning his gaze back to the road.

"Of course Melody."

"Like in an attraction way?" I asked and the car swerved slight before he got it back on track. So I'm guessing the question startled him.
