billie reached in to hug her friend, goodbye.
drew had been staying at billie's for almost two weeks, in an effort to get her back on her feet. so far, her mission was a success.
billie, being the cocky woman she is, insisted that she didn't need her help anymore. she got herself into this mess and she was determined to clean the rest of it up herself.
as they pulled away from the hug, drew pouted and teased, "i'm gonna miss the way you kicked me in the middle of the night when you ran in your dreams."
"i said i was sorry a billion times, dude!"
"i don't know how madelyn put up with that. i would've made your ass sleep on the couch."
"when you love someone, you tend to put up with a lot of shit sometimes." billie smiled lopsidedly as she reminisced.
"i hope everything works out between you two-- just don't do anything stupid and you'll be fine." drew said seriously before turning around to leave.
"did you take your medication, eilish?" she quickly spun on her heels to interrogate her.
"yeah, yeah-- hurry up and leave so i can finally go masturbate." billie half-joked, playfully pushing drew towards and out the door.
standing outside, drew moved over to a window so billie can see her. she gave billie a sarcastic displeased face, and flipped her off.
billie laughed and pointed at her.
"get outtta here bozo,"
drew formed her hand into a phone and put it up to her ear, mouthing, "call me if you need anything, love you"
billie shaped her hands into a heart and mouthed "love you" back to her.
for the first in a while, billie felt like things were going uphill. she was working on herself constantly, while trying to figure out her identity.
she was no longer the delinquent that caused disruptions in the hallways.
she wasn't some kid that got shot in the leg and she refused to dwell on that part of of her life.
although she missed high school dearly and still had most of the same traits from that time, she was a new person.
she was an adult.
billie eilish o'connell.
this was the improved version of herself and she wanted to embrace it, no matter how difficult it'll be to adapt to it.
time away from madelyn, surprisingly gave her purpose. all billie could do was hope madelyn knew she was trying her best and not just sulking around.
billie has even been making some progress with her modeling agency; booking small 'gigs' and making connections.
as of right now, she's on the cover of local magazine, advertising some clothing brand.
and she's not flunking college anymore.
hell, she mostly has D's but she's still passing.
college is definitely not her thing.
after drew left billie went in her room, locked the door and pulled out the box under her bed.
a short nap soon followed her moment of 'alone time' and once she awoke, she grabbed her car keys.
she gave dragon a pat on the trunk before entering and sped off to her special spot.
