After weeks of training the first match was scheduled. October 10th, Sunday morning. Hufflepuff vs Slytherin. Bianca and Draco the seekers. Woo.

That Saturday in October crept up on them. The pair had been dreading the match, not wanting to compete against each other. Bianca was dreadfully competitive, and Draco was most definitely a sore loser.

On the morning she had been dreading, Bianca rose early, but apparently not as early as Draco. He had already showered and gotten ready, the headed to breakfast, all the while she had been sleeping.

Lisa came in as she was trying to do her hair. She wanted to french braid it, but could barely do a single braid on someone else, let alone herself.

"Lisa, can you please braid my hair with ribbon?" She said as she picked up her hair brush, glancing at the ribbon strewn about on the marble counter top in the bathroom. Lisa nodded, and started to brush through Bianca's silky golden hair, weaving the ribbon with silky strands of her soft locks.

She shimmied her way into her Hufflepuff sweater, a pair of black leggings, and a tank top underneath, knowing she would be changing in a little. She smoothed down her braids and left for breakfast.

she could barely eat anything. She was sitting with the rest of her house, gazing across the Great Hall at Draco. His back was turned towards her, but she knew he felt her eyes. She hoped if she won he wouldn't be mad. Their relationship was finally starting to feel as if it had trust in it, and she didn't want to ruin it by making him be humiliated by the school. But she couldn't let down her house by purposely not catching the snitch.

Oh what am I going to do? She thought to herself, burying her head in her hands.

*******

Bianca struggled to pull her quidditch robes over her head, her hands were shaking so bad. Her broom felt foreign in her hand as she gripped the redwood hard in her palm. Her legs felt weak as she mounted her broom. She barely heard Madam Hootch blow the whistle to start the match, but her muscle memory kicked in as soon as she started circling the pitch.

Circle the perimeter. Search the sky for the snitch. Pay attention to the chasers. Watch out for bludgers. Her nerves calmed down as the wind blew through her braids, whistling in her ears. At some point she felt Draco fly up beside her. She saw as he wiggled his fingernails at her, as they were painted a bright yellow, the color of her house. And in return she wiggled her own finger, which were painted a pretty Slytherin green.

Her braids whipped behind her as she flew her broom with ease. The ends of the ribbons shimmered slightly as the son came out from behind the clouds. Lisa scored the team 60 points after only 30 minutes into the game. Slytherin was at 50 points, ten behind, but quickly catching up.

Her eyes scanned the crowds, looking for even a tiny glint of gold and silver, the snitch could be anywhere. The commentator bellowed out the new score, as one of the opposing chasers scored into the hoops. They were tied, but in her peripheral vision she saw Draco pull into a dive, and she quickly followed suit, bring her gaze to what he had seen, and sidled up beside him quickly, their speeds matching.

She brought her hand out, the snitch just out of her reach, and she watched Draco do the same. Her nails glinted with the holographic top coat she put on it.

The crowd cheered as she curled her fingers around the snitch, her palm touching the cold metal. She pulled up from her dive, and touched down with the rest of her teammates, being enveloped in a group hug her waist being squeezed by Lisa. She raised her hand into the air, the snitch trying to wiggle free from her tight grip. She felt happy, ecstatic she hadn't let her team down, but was even happier as she saw Draco smiling at her proudly from a little ways away, and she shared a smile with him, and cursed herself silly for thinking one little quidditch match would tear apart their loving relationship.
