POV Emma (A/N: *wiggles eyebrows*)

Couple days ago a girl who claimed to be Jack's girlfriend appeared. It's kind of odd, mainly because Jack was always too busy with his work and hobbies for any kind of relationship. Besides he would have surely told it to her little sister.

However the girl promised to take care of Jack's medical bills. Maybe he gets now the chance to wake up and it's more likely that the girl is just a coworker since she was wearing a firefighter uniform when she popped up next to Jack's hospital bed and was bringing him back from the edge of death.

"Miss Overland," my teacher called me and I shook my head. It was my turn to dance. Most parts of the school had been closed up but there are still some places that are safe to study in even though there was the fire.

"I'm sorry," I smiled and I started to do the dancing formations with others.

My eyes wandered to look at the time, slowly the pointers were moving towards eleven am.

"Emma?" My friend called my name when we went to change our clothes after dancing lessons.

"Yeah?" I smiled faintly.

"Wanna go and grab lunch together?" She smiled and I shook my head.

"Oh, you have that lunch appointment of yours," she whispered and gave me a compassionate smile.

"Yeah. He is waiting," I laughed nervously and I quickly changed my clothes. I grabbed my bag and I told my friends that I'll meet them on the next class.

I ran to my bike and soon I was at the M.I.M hospital. The smell off disinfectant filled my nose when I got inside the hospital.

"Hey Jack!" I cheered from his rooms doorway and then I went in. Of course he wouldn't respond but I ignored it. I took a chair and I sat next to his bed. I took out my lunch and I started to eat while I watched the respirator bumping air into his lungs and listening how the heart rate machine beeped.

I sighed after eating and then I bit my lower lip. He has been like this for a long time now. I miss him dearly and I pray every day that he would wake up.

I took Jack's hand in mine. "You know that girl, well I'm not sure how you guys know each other for sure.. but she was kind and promised to pay for your treatment! How wonderful is that!" I laughed and sobbed simultaneously.

"However if you wake up and say that she's your girlfriend for real, I'm going to kill you for good myself," I laughed.

"She was so pretty! I would be so mad to know that my big brother was dating and didn't tell me," I smiled faintly and patted the back of his hand.

I cleared my throat, "It's okay that you didn't come to play guitar at my birthday party but... I don't want to spend next Christmas with just me, mum and dad. Okay? It's so embarrassing to wear those family Christmas sweaters that are all bright colors. You made even that feel funnier and bearable," I whispered and I felt tears running on my cheeks.

"Come back big brother, everyone needs you," I said sadly and I closed my eyes while holding his hand. Then I gasped and I felt like a cool breeze had gone over my cheek.

I touched my cheek and I had a single frozen tear drop on the tip of my finger. I chuckled, "Whoa there's really cold in your room. I will ask the nurse to raise the temperature here.. but you loved winter so I'm gonna wait a moment."

"Yeah.. yeah, Jack," I laughed and sobbed a bit.

"You would say .. something like.. like," I mumbled.
