Elora's POV

Dear Hermione, Harry, Ron, and the Weasley family,

Happy Christmas! I hope you all are well and safe. Hogwarts is a lot quieter without you all here, but I have been managing.

I hope you all like the presents I sent, I hope they get there soon, as I sent them last night so they would be here for this morning.

I hope you all have a great New Years and you all stay safe.

Happy Christmas.

With love and care,

Elora Baxter.

I put my quill down and close the letter. I hand the parchment to my owl and send her off, her wings gliding through the chilly Christmas air.

I remember the presents I sent the night before. A painting for Ron, a drawing I did of Harry with his golden snitch, and a necklace with a book charm on it for Hermione. I hope they all like their gifts, as I made them myself.

Smiling, I hear a knock at my door, and head to open it. Draco's eyes meet mine, he immediately smiles back, hugging me.

"Happy Christmas morning." His voice is sleepy and low, his accent heavier than normal.

I giggle, hugging him back. "Happy Christmas morning, Draco."

He spins me around so my back is against his chest and covers my eyes with his hands. He leads me down the stairs to the common room.

I take his hands off my eyes and I feel him hold his breath as I look around the common room. There are presents under the tree, but most are for students who left for holiday, but will be receiving them once they are back.

Draco and I sit down on the soft couch and he hands me a small present wrapped in deep emerald green wrapping paper, laced with golden stars, and tied with a silvery bow. The wrapping skills are a slight bit messy, but you could tell he tried his best.

He intensely stares at me as I carefully open the lace. Inside, there is a small black box. I smile and look up to him, seeing him smiling back.

I open the box and a silver and green necklace sits on black satin fabric. I gasp and take hold of the necklace, setting the small box onto my crossed legs.

The shiny metal is shaped like a snake, emerald green and laced on a silver chain. I look up at Draco. He looks nervous, like he thinks I wouldn't love his gift. I realize that he has a ring on his finger that matches the necklace.

I move next to him, placing my hand on his leg. I rest my head on his shoulder and he wraps his arm around me.

"I love it." I whisper, intertwining my fingers with his. "It's perfect."

His vibe softens, with a look of relief on his face. He squeezes my hand and smiles. I suddenly get up and run upstairs to my dorm.

I come back down the steps, his present in my hands. His whole face lights up even more, as I hand him the gift.

We sit back down and he opens the silver package, eagerly.

He smiles and looks at my beanie on my head; he has the matching beanie in his hand. I grab it and put it on his head, covering his eyes deliberately. We both laugh, and I uncover his beautiful, shining eyes.

He hugs me, wrapping me in a blanket of his scent.

Apples, mint, mahogany and a hint of teakwood.
