"Living in Jennie's body definitely has some advantages." Lisa thought as she entered the lavish bathroom in Kim's mansion. "At least I'll be able to take a really nice bath and sleep in a large, comfortable bed. And Jennie," she gritted her teeth thinking about the infuriating brunette, "that self-centered brat, will have to sleep in my tiny room with Rosé. I bet that will teach her a lesson." she smiled with satisfaction. Turning the knob with hot water, she noticed that it was more a jacuzzi than a bathtub. It had pretty much everything she could dream of and more. "Well damn, it even has built-in speakers." she put on some relaxing music, poured bath salts and oils in the tub and her mood immediately improved. When the bath was ready she let her bathrobe loose when all of a sudden she froze, looking at her own reflection in the mirror. Well, not exactly her own, it was Jennie's body after all.

Completely naked body.

Lisa couldn't help feeling slightly aroused by what she was seeing: full, perfectly round breasts, devilishly seductive hips and of course those legs... Her hand instinctively grazed the inside of her thigh, slowly going up and up... Lisa thought that maybe the bath would be even more pleasant if she could-.

"Shit no, I can't do that! It's too weird, Lisa, control you hormones! It's not even my own body for fuck's sake." she quickly came to her senses. But before she went into the bathtub, she couldn't help glancing once again in the mirror, admiring the view. "Jennie might be an annoying rich bitch, but no one can deny she's sexy as hell." was her last thought before she lied down in hot water and let herself fully relax.

Later, when Lisa was already preparing herself to sleep, Jisoo knocked on her door.

"How are you doing, everything's fine?" the brunette asked and Lisa confirmed by nodding. "Actually, it's not what I wanted to ask you." Jisoo confessed, scratching her head.

"Go ahead, I don't bite." Lisa tried to encourage her with a faint smile. She found it very odd that with Jisoo she felt completely fine, the older Kim sister didn't have this disconcerting influence on her like Jennie.

"I'm afraid it may be too personal."

"That's for me to decide, right? Shoot."

Nervously rubbing her hands, Jisoo dropped down on the chair.

"I know I shouldn't even ask you this but..." she said, making Lisa more and more curious. "Could you tell me why your... financial situation is the way it is?"

Lisa's face darkened.

"Why do you want to know?" she asked, her eyes turning cold.

But she didn't get an answer, Jisoo fell silent and Lisa could swear she could see brunette's cheeks blush a little. After patiently waiting for more than a minute she finally heard:

"Rosé told me today that we couldn't be friends because of how different our lives are, you know, the money thing... And I took it really hard and I just want to understand-" all of a sudden Jisoo's voice broke, she stood up and prepared to leave. "Never mind, forget that I asked you that."

"Wait!" Lisa stopped her. "You... you really want to know it because of Rosé?"

Jisoo nodded.

"Then sit down, I'll tell you everything."

"You will?"

"Yes. Do you know why? You see, I know Rosé since we were little, she's very reserved and doesn't really like meeting new people, she's very wary of them. You're the first person she trusted right away, I was seriously amazed by how she treated you from the beginning, as if you were a close friend."

Jisoo prayed in her mind that the loud thumping in her chest couldn't be heard outside. Trying to calm down, she sat down again and stared in anticipation at Lisa who let out a deep sigh and began telling their life's story.

"My mom and Rosé's parents have known each other for many years, they've run a company together since we were kids. When Rosé was a freshman in college and I finished high school, our parents' company encountered some major money trouble. The bank refused to give them a loan so our parents looked for money elsewhere... and they finally found someone who agreed to give it to them. But it was all in vain, the crisis hit the economy really hard and the company went bankrupt. And then..." Lisa sniffed. "And then everything went to hell. Because the man who loaned money to my parents was Mr. Yang."

Jisoo shuddered, like most people who heard that name. Called "The Lord of the Underground", he was the most influential and powerful crime boss in Seoul. Even her father, one of the richest people in Korea, seemed strangely uneasy, maybe even slightly frightened, when he was talking about him,.

"So Mr. Yang went furious when he learned that we couldn't pay him him back and decided to teach our parents a lesson. He planted some evidence to make it seem like the company was embezzling funds and stealing from their clients... Then he used his connections to make sure our parents are convicted. They all got three years of prison time-" Lisa's voice broke.

"Oh my god, your parents are in prison for something they didn't do? That's terrible!" Jisoo was appalled.

"Yeah, and to make things worse, me and Rosé still have to give Mr. Yang money every month to pay off our parents' debt. What is left is barely enough to make a living."

"I don't know what to say, I'm so sorry." Jisoo whispered.

"It's... life." Lisa replied with resignation.

"No! Damn it, no!" Jisoo exploded with anger. "There must be something that can be done about it, is there really no justice in this world?"

"Justice? Please! Don't be naive, there may be justice for rich people like you, but for the rest of us... it's the law of the jungle."

Jisoo winced because those words hurt. She had always been very idealistic and firmly believed that the world is a just place, maybe not always but most of the time. As a law student, she was convinced that good deeds are rewarded and bad people are punished. After what she heard from Lisa, she wasn't so sure anymore: her naive idealism was falling into pieces.

"Rosé was right when she said that we lived in different worlds, separated by an unbreakable wall. I realize that now." she paused for a second with a stern expression. "But it's not the end, I won't let it end like that." she stood up with determination, whispered "good night" to Lisa and quietly closed the door after walking out.
