Renae's POV

Renae shifted in bed. She sat up and yawned. The gentle ringing of her scroll could be heard. She pulled it out and saw a text from Rosalina.

Hey Buttface... I need to talk.

Renae rolled her eyes at the comment and started to type a response. What is it?

The three dots told Renae that Rosalina was typing.  I need your help.

Can't you just buy some help. Renae chuckled when she sent it.

Renae.. I'm serious.

Renae paused, It's really that important? Renae hopped out of bed and put her scroll down. She quickly tossed her shirt off. Digging through her drawers she picked out a red sweat shirt and some blue jeans. Quickly changing she check her phone and could see a text.

Yea... It's pretty important... Meet at the Cemetery..

Renae grabbed her socks and slipped them on while she sent a text back. I'm getting ready now. I'll meet you there. She grabbed a purple jacket, knowing Rosie would forget one. She wrapped it around her waist and grabbed her boots and slipped them on as she walked.

She ran down the stairs. "Hey Holly! I'll be back later my friend needs me."

"Wait Rena-" Before Holly could finish, Renae was already out.

Her legs carried her through town until she reached the Cemetery. She entered the Cemetery and could see Rosalina curled up on a bench. She made her way over and sat down.

"Hey Rosie...." Renae said. She noticed Rosie wasn't wearing a jacket. She quickly untied her jacket and laid it on her. "What happened?"

Rosalina quickly slipped the jacket on and zipped it up. Renae blinked at the witch, she then noticed drops of water falling to the ground. "Rosie I can't help you I've you don't tell me what's going on."

Rosalina looked up but didn't make eye contact. "My parents... they.."

Renae ears pricked, "They didn't die did they?"

"No.. Worst." Rosalina then burst into tears and latched on to Renae. Renae flinched as the red haired witch hugged tightly. "They're trying to send me off!"

Renae looked down at Rosalina, "What do you mean by that?" She gentle wrapped her arms around Rosalina and gingerly rubbed her back.

"Once I turn eighteen they're going to force me to get married!" Rosalina sobbed hugging tighter.

Renae tensed up. No.. She couldn't get married. "They can't make you do that!" Renae growled.

Rosalina pulled away from the hug and wiped her tear filled eyes, "When you have enough money anything is possible..."

Renae frantically searched her thoughts trying to find an idea. "What if you ran away. Wouldn't that work!"

Rosalina turned away and curled back up in a ball. "No.. They're apart of the emperor's coven... They'd find me easily..."

Rage and anxiety prickled at Renae, "NO! I won't let them!" She looked up at Rosalina, "You have to at least try!"

"Renae you can't do anything!  You have no power against my parents!" Rosalina argued.

"I CAN TRY!" Renae snapped......

There was a long and painful silence between the two. "I can't let them!" Renae finally broke the silence.

"Why are you so stubborn!" Rosie hissed, "You're powerless and helpless against my parents!"

Renae stood up, "YOU'RE THE ONE SITTING HERE TRYING TO GIVE UP!" She yelled.

Rosalina stood up and stood face to face with Renae, their faces merely inches apart. "And why do you care what happens to me!"

Renae fell silent, she didn't have an answer... "I- Well." She rubbed the back of her neck, feeling ashamed she didn't have a reason.

"Exactly! That's why you shouldn't waste your time on it!" Rosie snapped. "So stay out of it!" Rosalina took a few steps back and then turned and started towards the Entrance to the Cemetery, leaving Renae standing in the chilly air all alone...
