Bea x Shy! Suicidal! reader (Part 2/2)

(Y/n)'s p.o.v

I sigh as I just walk towards the punch table and get a cup before going to a corner and watch as everyone else has fun while I'm alone. Pretty sure Bea and everyone else just got here, so I softly smile at how she looks in this lighting. After a while I just see Bea walking around like she's looking for someone, so I tilt my head confused. Going after her I say "hey, Bea!" I caught up to her as she says "oh, hey (Y/n)!... where's Jumbo?" "With his date." Bea gasped and says "what?! But this night is supposed to be magical!" I sigh saying "well, not everyone can have a good night."

Bea looks down and says "let's just talk until our dates realize what they're missing out on, because I don't know where Steve went." She gently grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the chairs and we started talking and talking. Every now then she'd start looking around the room for something... or maybe someone. "Hey, Bea! This seat taken? Cause it is NoW! Hahahaha" Oscar says and nervously laughs afterwards. 'Oh yeah... Oscar, the one guy that likes Bea so much, but she's so oblivious about it every day.'

Once he comes around though she forgets about me, so I look down and just get up as I walk away as I go back to my corner. It feels like it's been a while before I see Bea still walking around again, so I go over to her as she gets to the punch table. Dan and Ann are there trying to drink the punch without using cups, so... yeah, no more punch for me. "Dan, Ann, have you two seen Steve Jackson?" "No" they answer, so I sigh and try to conversate with Bea. I shake a bit before I realize I can't say a word, so I let Bea say why she's searching for him right now.

"Prom is, like, happening! And I don't want to waste a single minute, I should be dancing, or something!" Bea explains to the two. The two smile saying "you should dance with us!" "No thank you!" "Come on!" "W-W-Wait a minute." The three look at me, so I swallow hard and say "sh-she for-for-forgot that sh-she saved a-a-a-a dance with me." Dan and Ann nod saying "okay!" Then they ran off to dance with eachother, so Bea sighed in relief. "Thank you so much, (Y/n)!!" Bea says and hugs me, I blush, but hug her back anyways "n-no problem."

Bea separates saying "ya know... maybe we can have a dance right now while I wait for Steve" I blush a bit, but shake my head. "Y-You know how I am around crowds, B-Bea... I-I'm just gonna go get some outside to not be so crowded." Bea nods saying "okay! See you in a bit!!" I sigh saying "little do you know" then I start walking out. While I'm out I start making my way to the top of the tank, then before I can get to the very edge I stay still. Looking back I can hear all of the music and everyone in there having fun, so I sigh saying "you won't m-miss me."

Breathing in deep I get to the edge and get close to leaning forward, but I also breathed in for water, which made me start hyperventilating. I jump up as I hit the middle of my back against the edge, but hear someone scream and someone grab my fin. With that they pulled me in, so I breathe in the water as I glare at whoever just got me right now. Then my glare changed as I see it's Bea, her eyes are glossy as she looks at me sadly. "(Y/n), WHAT was that?!" Bea asks me, so I start breaking down as I float back down to the bottom and cry.

Bea came by my side, but I shake my head and scoot away "d-do-don't touch me..." I stutter out as I still cry, so she huffs a bit. "(Y/n), I already know how you are!" "No you don't!!" I finally say without sounding quiet and shy. Bea flinched as I say "I never wanted to say this because I like you so much, b-but you can be so blind sometimes. Y-Yes you know I don't have many friends like others do, yes y-you know I'm shy, b-but there's some things you d-d-don't know." Bea waited for me to say them, so I wipe at a tear as I breathe in and out before sighing.

"Y-You d-don't kn-know how much I hate myself.... this is being so easy for everyone to get through life in general, not just highschool. No one really wanted to wait and try to g-get through my shy-side... no one except you. You've been the only part of my life that I actually enjoy..... which is how I grew up different. Yes, I've had a few boy crushes... but I've always been in love with you, Bea..." I finally admit. Then I sigh and say "I'm just gonna go get a smoothie-" "okay everybody, grab your special someone and hold them tight. Cause it's the last dance of the night!"

Finberely cut me off, so I sigh and start trying to leave, but Bea grabs my wrist saying "(Y/n), I'm sorry I never noticed how you are. I think so much of you, that's why I try to get you to open up!! Because I've seen who you are. Other people at Freshwater would like you, but never as much as me... because I love you too." My eyes widen at that as my blush comes back "r-really??" "Uh, yeah! Just like you I have my boy crushes. Even though I've loved you since about second grade..." we're both smiling as we look the other in the eyes.

"W-Would... you like to share this dance?" I ask her, so she smiles and says "we might as well get one dance in from this entire night." From her words I try to think on how to do this, but she seen how I'm acting, so she puts my fins around her neck. Then she put hers around my waist as we started to slow dance around, but I actually smile for once. As we dance around I say "you have no idea how long I waited to tell you the truth, Bea." "Well, I'm glad you did... I love you, (Y/n)" Bea says and pecks my lips, so I blush and nervously laugh a bit.

That's how our dance went, but I hear Oscar say "o-oh... I seen how Bea looked when she came out here, s-so I thought... s-sorry. I ru-ruined the moment, I'm just gonna go" we look at him, but laugh a bit as Bea says "it's okay, Oscar." I look around and ask "wh-where's your date??" Oscar nervously laughs at that "it got complicated. I really messed up, and I think we broke up" 'I think he was with Angela' "oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. Would you like a dance for tonight??" Bea asks with a smile, so Oscar looks down sadly "I-I'm fine."

I step forward saying "I know what it's like to be left out on just a dance, Os-Oscar... you feel better once you get it. So" I look at my fin, then hold it out for him "I'd do it if it'd make you feel better" I softly get out. Oscar blushed and smiles too as he walks towards me, but hesitated to do anything. "I... th-thanks, (Y/n)" Oscar stuttered out as we start dancing a bit like how I was with Bea. I can hear her scoff, so I laugh softly "don't worry, Bea, I seen you two k-kiss... I won't do anything."

"Wait, wh-what?" "Om gosh, Oscar!" "*nervous laughter*"
