"Happy birthday to you!" Everyone sang as Biana's pink and white cake came out with candles on it. "Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday Biana! Happy birthday to you!"
Biana smiled as the cake was placed in front of her before she closed her eyes and then blew out the candles.
"I'm not going to ask what you wished for," Fitz said. "But I just want to make sure it was a good wish."
Biana slapped Fitz's shoulder. "Shut-up Fitzroy. It was a wonderful wish." Biana then started to cut the cake and hand everyone a piece with some vanilla ice-cream.
"This is really good." Maruca said, taking bite of the cake. "I've always loved your mom's cooking."
"Thank you Maruca," Della said, walking in. "Though, I'm not as good as Sophie's mom."
Sophie laughed. "I'll make sure to tell her that."
Della smiled. "It's true—Edaline's a wonderful cook."
The conversation went on from there. They talked about the cake, Biana's birthday, and various forms of torture the Mayans used.
It was quite educational.
"It's present time," Biana said. "Bring out the gifts!"
Della smiled as she walked out of the room and came back with ten presents after a minute.
"Who's this one from?" Biana asked, looking at the teal bag.
"Me," Tam said, smiling at Biana.
Biana smiled back him. "I love the color." She reached into the bag and pulled out a small black box. When opened it, she gasped. "Oh my gosh Tam, that's so sweet."
Tam smiled. "I thought you might like it."
"What is it?" Linh asked, cocking her head to get a better look.
Biana passed the box around and when it got to Sophie, she saw that it was a bracelet, the chains made out of infinities, but the biggest infinity had a date on it.
"That's the day you started dating, right?" Sophie asked, remembering that date.
Biana nodding, grinning like a crazy person. "It's so sweet, isn't it?"
Before Sophie could answer, Keefe said, "Alright, this is a birthday, not an anniversary. Open my present next."
Biana rolled her eyes at him—a smile on her face—as Della handed Biana a golden gift. "This is really pretty," She said, smiling at it.
Then, she tore off the paper and opened the box. She reached her hand inside and she pulled out a pink make-up bag. Then, when Biana opened it, it had tons of new make-up in it.
"This is amazing," Biana said, gawking at all the make-up. "Thank you so much Keefe."
Keefe nodded, and, after ogling at the make-up for a bit, she moved on to the next gift. It was from Jensi.
He'd gotten her a ton of light pink fairy lights. When Biana looked at them, she shrieked.
"I take it that means you like them," Jensi said with a laugh.
"Yes!" Biana said. "They'll make the vibe in my room more complete. Thank you!"
"Okay, open mine next," Linh said, pointing to the big, pastel pink bag. "I think you'll like it."
